The Telegraph are looking for a highly creative motion led Mid-weight designer to help develop new emerging formats. Be part of the design team where experimentation and learning are encouraged. The Emerging Formats team are expanding as we cover more visual storytelling across The Telegraph and aim to become a world leading in-house creative team.

What you'll be doing:

Creating short visual stories, in an innovative and highly creative manner
Working to fast-paced deadlines on an edition based products
Collaborating with Graphic Designers, Video Editors, Editors, Developers and Journalists to brainstorm and storyboard short stories for the day’s’ topics
Working closely with other designers to bring stories to life, in a short, snappy, highly visual format Working with the Design Director, to develop a leading industry approach on this platform and across other existing formats
Leading motion projects and presenting to Design director and Stakeholders


Have the ability to animate as well as design
Have an active set of animation skills/knowledge and be fiercely creative with it
Thrive in a fast paced environment, working as part of a team
Be interested in current affairs and have a passion for telling stories
Know your Instagram Stories from your Snapchats
Be energetic, have an appetite for experimentation and a good sense of fun
Have an open minded and receptive approach to innovating and iterating your designs
Know your way around the full Adobe suite
Have experience leading projects and teams
Significant proven in-house/agency experience
Be confident and great at communicating
