Role Summary:

The Digital Designer is a creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship as well as a solid understanding of all things digital.

The role is a combination of user interface, presentation and interactive design with the potential to expand into UX and branding too. A user-centric design approach and clear understanding of what is technically feasible are both crucial for designing across multiple platforms and devices while also having the ability to spot opportunities to really push the boundaries through existing skills or actively learning new ones.

They will be comfortable working with a broad range of individuals across multiple disciplines and manage their time and projects accordingly. Excellent communication skills are vital, as is the ability to show initiative and drive to make the role their own.

Day-to-day tasks can include anything from research and exploration, presentation design (within TwelfthMan’s proprietary presentation platform - to wire-framing and bringing lo-fidelity prototypes to life – often working closely with UX Designers and Developers. The Digital Designer will be confident in seeing projects through from start to finish, ensuring that designs are engaging, cutting-edge, dynamic and on-brand. Deliverables may range from polished final designs or prototypes in Invision, to simple hand-drawn sketches.

Required Skills:

• Sketch (or a willingness to learn it)
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Zeplin
• Invision
• Any experience in a multi-disciplinary agile team

Key responsibilities:

• Producing high quality visual designs across a range of platforms and devices
• Understanding briefs and stakeholder requirements
• Effectively communicating and presenting ideas to clients and the wider team
• Being responsible for the visual output of all digital projects
• Collaborating with UX designers and Developers
• Ability to work across multiple projects for different clients

General Responsibilities:

• Keeping up to date with the fast-moving digital design industry
• Making sure working files and folders are structured and organised (version control)
• Taking responsibility and ownership of projects
• Managing time accordingly to ensure deadlines are met
• Sharing new ideas, inspiration, skills and processes

• Design, media or visual communication degree at level 2.1+


• 2+ years commercial experience as a digital designer ideally
