What This Role Entails:

We are looking for an exceptional Account Manager to join our growing lifestyle division. This exciting and fast paced team is developing a reputation for creating and delivering some of the most culturally relevant campaigns for brands including Reebok, Smartwater and Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7).

The successful candidate must have a passion for fitness and fashion and will have the opportunity to work on some of the industry’s most exciting campaigns with leading talent and influencers. They must have a thorough knowledge of the social and influencer landscape, be able to suggest the hottest up and coming names and have their finger on the pulse culturally.

Candidates must have a proven track record working with major brands and must be able to demonstrate their expertise within the lifestyle space.

Account Managers are responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of their accounts. They are the central component to ensuring the smooth running of the account and should display strong skills in both managing up to ADs and down to AEs. An Account Manager should always be one step ahead, managing the overall workload and ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard.

Job Specification:

Core Responsibilities Include:
• Being the central ‘cog’ in the team identifying any actions and completing them in a timely manner, ensuring that accounts are run as smoothly as possible
• Trusted day-to-day contact for the client

• Be positive, proactive and solutions driven – always think one step ahead
• Take ownership and be fully accountable for day-to-day operations

Initiative and Problem Solving:
• Develop the ability to both identify and solve problems before your ADs or clients do - when highlighting a problem always have a view of what a solution might be
• Always think ahead having your clients and brands forefront of mind

• Display strong working relationships with your team – you are the central component of the team and a vital part of the everyday operation of the account
• Display strong relationships with clients, both in terms of rapport and respect - the client should trust your opinion / counsel

Media, Influencer and Talent Management:
• Have a strong knowledge of media, especially in relation to the specific needs of your clients
• Build quality relationships with key media across all relevant clients
• Manage and drive rich editorial opportunities including exclusives, interviews, features etc.
• Continually monitor media for all client coverage and articles of interest
• Be aware of all coverage from initial sell in to delivery and oversee the reporting process – flag any issues to ADs ASAP
• Have a thorough knowledge of the influencer landscape, able to recommend relevant influencers and negotiate and oversee brand partnerships
• Be connected in the industry- music artists, up-and-coming designers, scenesters. Relationships with talent and talent managers will contribute to building networks around our clients

Strategic Skills:
• Understanding of planning and responding to a brief with clear strategic thinking

Answering Briefs:
• Understanding how to interrogate and answer a brief creatively and how to position and articulate ideas to the client

Time and Resource Management:
• Effective time management is essential - ensure that you are delivering work on time and are conscientious with deadlines
• Flag any pinch points on your accounts to your ADs to ensure that the standard of your work is not being affected

Presentation Skills:
• Document and presentation writing skills should be strong - you should deliver quality work of a high standard
• You should be developing your physical presentation skills and building confidence in competently talking clients though a document or pitching an idea
• You should be able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing throughout internal and client facing comms

Campaign Execution:
• Build skills and confidence to plan, organise and manage events, including coordinating venues, invitations, guestlists, press materials, managing suppliers etc.
• Work to ensure that campaign activation is delivered on time and within budget, flagging early any issues or concerns to ADs

• Oversee status reports and ensure that they are delivered to the client on time

Management of Team:
• Keep all members of the team up-to-date with account work and ensure that regular internal status meetings are arranged
• Give clear guidance and constant feedback to your AEs

Client Services:
• Show genuine interest in your clients’ business
• Respond promptly to client requests - keep the client informed if there is going to be a delay
• Flag anything that may be of interest to your clients – competitor activity, news relating to brand ambassadors, media insights etc.

Financial Management:
• Become competent with the finance processes; including issuing SOW, client estimate signoff, setting up new job numbers, processing POs and managing budgets
