If you want to work for one of the UK’s most successful media owners (recently voted Media Week’s Brand of the Year) and you’re looking for a role that will have real impact, Hearst UK are looking for an exceptional marketing professional to join our Business Marketing team located in our brand new central London office. The CRM Coordinator/Executive will be responsible for strategic and tactical customer relations programs to support Hearst’s business objectives in the UK.


Reporting to the Head of Business Marketing and working closely with the Business Marketing team, the Coordinator will play a key role in developing and implementing effective, measurable email and social marketing strategies to drive business growth, retain and up-sell existing customers, raise brand awareness and increase market share of Hearst products in a highly competitive industry.


The successful candidate will manage email marketing, integrating with offline efforts. S/he will be involved with the planning- setting KPIs, determining timing and priority of email activity, etc and will be responsible for managing a calendar of email activity.


Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to drive retention and customer engagement, assisting with product positioning, creating dynamic email marketing campaigns and tracking email marketing activity.


The right candidate will have experience managing projects from start to finish, and working with product managers, creative teams and outside vendors would be preferable. This role is ideal for a marketing assistant looking for their next career move.


This is a full-time position that can start immediately.




Responsibilities:


• Point person responsible for creating, managing and analysing email marketing to the trade audience.


• Work closely with the Business Marketing & Sales teams to brainstorm campaigns and then execute autonomously.


• Serve as the point of contact for our CRM tools.


• Establish, manage and maintain an email marketing calendar.


• Manage the development of digital marketing collateral like landing pages.


• Manage email templates. This includes using current templates and working with creative team to develop new templates.


• Run monthly performance reports to monitor, analyse and communicate weekly KPIs and metrics.


• Maintain/update mailing lists.


• Monitor industry trends, developments and share knowledge about best practices.


• Assist with offline CRM activity, including monthly mailings to VIP customers.




Qualifications:


• Educated to degree level in a relevant field with at least one of work experience in a similar role


• Superior writing and proofreading skills as well as an excellent command of grammar, punctuation, proper English usage


• Must have demonstrated ability to develop written communication materials


• Strong data and analytical skills with ability to transform data into actionable insights


• Organisational skills are critical; initiative and follow-through a must


• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at one time; demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-changing environment


• Proactive communicator, highly motivated, and adaptable to change


• Advanced knowledge and understanding of MailChimp, Salesforce and social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and others


• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format


• Ability to establish strong networks of contacts throughout the organisation to manage multiple projects and to operate proactively with minimal supervision


• Fluency in email technology, media trends and social required.


• Journalism and editing experience a plus
