We Are DesignScene, a creative event production agency. Crafting innovative design-led experiences for brands worldwide.

We are looking to expand our studio team with an industry leading Creative Director – Experiential Strategy with a minimum of 8 years’ agency experience with at least 2 years in a similar role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced creative director to work with an award-winning team on hugely creative and innovative experiential projects. Our clients include Amazon, Snap Inc, ITV Studios, Hulu, Live Nation and Shopify.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will produce extraordinary ideas of the highest level. You will have the ability to lead both clients and internal teams to deliver their creative vision for truly ground breaking live events, product launches, brand experiences and experiential campaigns which awe and inspire.

The ideal candidate will have; a natural and genuine passion for design and contemporary culture, an outstanding record of creating world class brand experiences and formidable communication and influencing skills.

You will help lead, inspire and support a team of creatives in the UK and USA to deliver the creative and experiential strategy across a broad range of projects executed worldwide.

Role & Responsibilities - What do you have to achieve?

• Fresh, strategic and persuasive creative concepts
• Demonstrable clarity of thought through concise and effective storytelling
• Boundary pushing creative ideas using the latest interactive technologies and software
• An evident understanding of clients' products, their competitors and the market environment

Job Activities – what do you have to do?

• Deliver creative briefs with innovative ideas that answer client’s objectives and push the envelope in regard to creative execution
• Guide other creatives to develop concepts, experiences and solutions
• Create copy for all media types (print, digital, social)
• Educate clients in order to provide the best possible creative solutions to their problems
• Lead presentations and client meetings, building confidence in your creative ideas and ability to deliver on them
• Keep a cool head when changes, challenges, barriers and client feedback arises, continuing to support the team throughout
• Build effective relationships with project, production and creative teams and collaborate in creative briefs and timings
• Maintain suitable quality control levels within the team and wider agency
• Provide strong leadership - effectively direct team members to accomplish desired goals
• Contribute to building a team environment that facilitates: mutual respect and partnership across functions; strategic thinking; appropriate risk taking; open lines of communication between team members, on-going performance feedback, professional development, and adherence to agency policy
• Seek to identify and progress creative opportunities to grow client and agency business


What are the skills required?
• Experience leading remote teams of designers across time zones
• The ability to construct persuasive arguments that deliver positive results
• Be highly creative with an ability to develop ideas quickly and methodically
• A strong experience of creative processes and structures for events and experiential
• A good knowledge of and practical skills in photoshop, C4D, 2D & 3D animation software
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
