Jo Loves is an innovative new scent, bath, body and candle collection created by Jo Malone CBE, inspired by the memories and moments in life that she loves.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Creative Junior Designer to join our team and support the growth of this exciting brand. Reporting to the Head of Creative, this role is extremely varied and the successful candidate can expect to jump between digital briefs, marketing assets, packaging, assisting with shoots, window displays and visual merchandising, and general brainstorming for campaigns. This is a wonderful opportunity for a junior designer to enhance your current skills while being supported and guided in a team culture that advocates both collaboration and an autonomous working style. The ideal candidate will have a positive, flexible attitude and be keen to work as part of a growing business. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and proactive, pays close attention to detail, can juggle numerous tasks at once, and is brimming with ideas. Working in a fast-paced working environment you will gain knowledge of the day to day workings of the creative department, and will also be able to observe other departments & how they work with the design team, giving you good insight into the overall business.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting with the design of digital and social media assets for our e-commerce site and platforms.
• Creating designs and artwork for other marketing collateral, with responsibility for a brief from concept to print.
• Help brainstorm new ideas to help bring campaigns to life across all channels: Marketing/ Social/ PR & New Product Development.
• Supporting the Jo Loves store and all retail partners on their marketing and creative needs such as signage, printed collateral, samples, events & copy, from design to overseeing production with external suppliers
• Assisting with Visual Merchandising in the form of in-store planograms
• Assist with the project management of all social and campaign shoots, including helping to style on set, sourcing props and developing shot lists.
• Support design and implementation of the window displays for the Jo Loves Elizabeth Street store as well as supporting signage and visuals
• Keep updated on the creative & competitive landscape.
• Formatting and designing internal documents and presentations, and assisting when required with general administration.

Qualities & Qualifications Required:

• Design related degree
• Proven experience working in a design role, working cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment
• Strong digital skills and experience creating web and email assets, including simple GIFs and animations
• A driven team player who can follow direction as well as work independently
• Adaptable and able to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise confidently with retail partners, agencies & colleagues
• Must be organised, detail-orientated and self-directed.
• Passion for the creative industry and up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and technologies
• Fluent up to date knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office
• Ability to balance creativity, while adhering to brand guidelines and commercial requirement

Helpful ‘Bonus’ Qualities:

• Experience in the beauty/fashion/retail industry with an awareness of the Jo Loves brand and positioning
