Applications Close: 29 July 2019
Level: Senior
Contract: Full Time
Based: London
Salary: Undisclosed

As a Creative Lead, you’ll be both the brand champion at Paddle and the overseer of all creative projects. You’ll help define and push our brand, putting it into the hands of our team and the head of our customers.
You’ll also own the creative pipeline, prioritising and delivering small and large projects which include our positioning, our website, our blog, our guides and decks, our landing pages and ads, and our physical presence at events. You’ll come at a moment when we’re doubling down on Creative, which should be a great time for you to make an impact and tackle some exciting projects from your first few weeks at Paddle.

Reporting into our VP Marketing, you’ll work alongside Growth Marketing, Product Marketing and Events in a global marketing team of 10 people. As a central role within Paddle you’ll also work regularly and directly with other teams, in particular Sales, Customer Success, Product and People & Talent. You’ll manage a small team (currently a Frontend Developer and a collection of freelancers which you’ll build and change as you see fit), which you will evolve to support our future needs.

• Help us make every interaction with our brand memorable and compelling, and work with others to increase our brand awareness.
• Maintain, evolve and share our brand guidelines, being the brand champion at Paddle.
• Project manage all creative needs and efforts, working closely with both Marketing and other teams, so that we focus on the most impactful projects and deliver a great result on time, as well as a quick turnaround for day to day needs.
• Manage a small team of developers and designers, both internal and freelancers, which you will grow over time, ensuring that they are excited and doing their best work at Paddle.

• A significant exercise of positioning and branding overhaul, pushing the creativity in the brand direction.
• A greater focus on brand awareness with a variety of new initiatives, from events to content, where you’ll be able to dive into the details of growing a brand rather than just defining it.
• Enhancing the experience of our content for our audience, so that it’s a pleasure to consume and leaves a mark.
• Experimenting with new formats of content, for example, infographics, video and web animations.
• Empowering our commercial team with great collaterals that represent a strong brand and use copy and visuals to tell a compelling story about the problem we’re solving.

• You have managed a small team, developing their skills and empowering them to do their best work - in particular, a proven ability to manage developers, designers and copywriters, and to spec out the details of a project including the technical and creative details and trade-offs.
• You'll have worked on both large and small web projects with an understanding of coding and have a proven track record of setting deadlines realistically.
• You have prioritised and managed projects with many stakeholders, making sure that you can understand their problem and formulate the right brief, that what’s produced matches expectations, that deadlines are realistic and met, and that communication is great at all stages - in a context of a fast-paced organisation, flat hierarchy and hands-on approach rather than a corporate culture.
• You have delivered outstanding creative work with a portfolio you can share: we expect you’ll have a strong background as a designer or copywriter but also the ability to get the best out of people who have a complementary skill set to yours.
• You have been involved first-hand in defining and growing a B2B tech brand, are constantly inspired by the new trends and creative ideas in the best fast paced tech companies and understand how to be creative for a certain set of marketing personas alongside the rest of a marketing organisation.
• Having worked both in a creative agency and in a tech startup would be wonderful, but we’re very open to profiles who can combine the rigour and creativity side of an agency role with the candid and hands one side of a startup role. In particular you love it when things change rapidly.

Our mission is to help software companies succeed — enabling them to focus on creating products the world loves. Hundreds of companies rely on our e-commerce platform to sell their software products globally, as well as our powerful analytics and marketing tools to understand and grow their businesses.

Our vision is to become the platform that all software companies use to run and grow their business. We aim to replace a fragmented ecosystem of specialised tools with a unified platform that removes the complex burden that comes with running a software business, whilst also providing unparalleled insight to help them grow faster.

We’re early in our journey but making great progress: Deloitte Fast 50 named us the fastest growing software company in the UK (we’ve tripled revenue every year since our launch in 2012), and we’ve raised over $25m in funding from incredible investors such as Notion, BGF and Kindred.

We believe in having diverse teams in which everyone can be their authentic self is key to our success. We encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds to apply and we don't discriminate based on race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, marital status, disability or age.
