The Role

We are looking for a passionate, creative communications expert to join the Inkling PR team, working across a number of exciting brands and clients. In terms of cultural fit you are self-motivated and have a positive energy about you with an ability to work collaboratively in integrated teams.

Our ideal candidate will come from an agency background and have 3-5 years of experience. As an Account Manager, we look to you to effectively manage both your teams and your clients to deliver the best PR solutions that Inkling can offer. We do expect you to keep abreast of the industry for emerging trends and best practices, educating not only your own team but also the wider team here at Inkling.

Your role is focused upon day-to-day delivery – you will manage the demands of your clients and it is your responsibility to ensure that your tasks are completed within given timelines, to budgets and to the exceptionally high standard expected. You will have a good understanding of how content creation, social media and influencers work hand in hand with PR.

We are also asking you to look to the future too, day to day, week to week and the coming months ahead. It will be your responsibility to uphold the highest of standars and to be checking on the accuracy and standards of work of your Account Executives and Account Assistants/Interns.

Key Skills:

Client Management
• Manage relations across key clients, becoming the day-to-day PR contact
• Play an active role in planning – from brief to activation - adding value to plans, and ensuring issues are escalated appropriately where needed

• Play an active role in the creative process - organise meetings or brainstorms
• Be a creative ninja always on the hunt for up and coming creative events to go to and latest influencers
• Encourage a challenge mentality within the team, set the benchmark for creative thinking

• Have a good understanding of how the media works, with a strong black book of contacts to refer to
Be passionate about coverage, know how a good story pans out and have the ability to think laterally to pitch to different media types and people

Financial Acumen
• Ensure that you have a competent financial understanding of your clients and budgets
• Help your Account Director to ensure the smooth and profitable management of all client relationships

• Have strong written skills and the ability to write copy, media materials and presentations without error
• Be confident in your presentational and verbal communication skills

Teamwork and leadership
• Work closely with the events and digital team to ensure clear lines of communication and cooperation across accounts
• Try to ensure your team is happy, challenged and delivering against clear targets working with your Account Director and flagging any issues as they arise
• Help to develop and motivate more junior team members using your leadership skills
