Role Overview:

This role will work closely with the CBO and hold responsibility for the look and feel of the VASHI brand. Fundamental to this role is a very strong design background, an excellent eye and a pixel perfect attention to detail, however, this is not a day-to-day designer role but that of a creative and a brand guardian. The role will cover every customer touch point from .com and physical stores, to packaging, logo design, video, brand campaigns, 2D branding and editorial. It will lead on establishing a brand book of visual, tonal and messaging rules and ensure these rules are strictly adhered to as we advance quickly on multiple fronts. Highly entrepreneurial, the role will also play an important part in establishing the culture and reputation of VASHI among staff, partners and throughout the industry. It will work closely with Head of Content and Head of Creative Ops as part of the core team that will build and establish VASHI as the number one bespoke jewellery brand for millennials and gen z.

Job Description:

Design team - responsible for building a high calibre internal design team to allow VASHI to execute design and art working internally across a range of outputs. You will then brief and lead them to deliver on the following:

Brand book - responsible for establishing a brand book of visual, tonal and messaging rules to share with all stakeholders internal and external and to govern all brand projects. Responsible for ensuring these rules are adhered to at every level.

Brand development - working with creative and strategic colleagues to input into team discussions (where relevant) to help establish the direction and development of the VASHI brand (beyond just look & feel; activations, events, editorial themes...)

Store design - research and define look & feel of retail experience of the future. Brief and manage external partner to deliver store design 2.0.

Packaging - responsible for overseeing all packaging (working with specialist partners as necessary).

Windows - responsible for the windows and store visual merchandising.

Editorial - responsible for developing a house visual style for any and all editorial content and publications (on and offline).

Site - responsible for working with our internal dev team and specialist partners (where necessary) to deliver best in class digital experience that perfectly embodies the unique VASHI proposition.

Comms - oversee the art direction of comms / assets from the brand side (working with specialist partners as relevant).

Partnerships - building strong relationships with external partners ensuring the VASHI name and reputation is held in good esteem.

Internal relationships - responsible for clear communication with internal stakeholders ensuring all are kept up to date, informed or given approval where necessary.
