DESIGN INTERN
Job Description

Reports to: Head of Video
Salary band A: £18,400 pa pro rata
Application Deadline: 6pm Sunday 28th July 2019
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 7th August 2019.

Overall purpose of the job:

An enthusiastic and talented individual who can support the development of designs for a broad range of projects and assist across projects in the Video Design Department.

Responsibilities

  • Creating visualisations (2D or 3D)
  • Design work across pre-production and production (as required)
  • Storyboarding
  • Producing pitch documents
  • Research: coordinating and presenting research to the Lead Designer
  • Helping to manage the scheduling and delivery of content production as part of the project team
  • Logistics: scheduling as required, arranging transport, making bookings etc.
  • Administration and documentation
  • General office assistance as required


Training opportunities will include:

  • Access to a range of software, equipment and tutorials
  • Mentoring from Senior Designer
  • One to one sessions with Directors
  • Insight into company administration
  • Attendance at certain client meetings as appropriate
  • Creating and contributing to a wide range of exciting projects


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

  • Excellent visual design skills ideally with a level of skill in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • An ability and willingness to work as part of a team
  • An ability to multitask effectively and handle multiple workflows at any one time
  • An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A passion for performing arts and creative design industries
  • Proficient with MS Office and Mac OS


Desirable:

Please highlight any additional skills in relevant creative fields for example:

  • Animation
  • Experience of camera operation (still and video)
  • Editing skills
  • Analogue drawing skills
  • Professional design experience
