Elwin Street Productions is an independent co-edition publisher based in London; we produce a range of beautifully illustrated non-fiction books, including gastronomy, health and well-being, parenting, popular science, and gift. We also have a trade imprint called Modern Books, who publish books in the UK for mindful living and distributed by Thames & Hudson.

We have an internship available for university graduates within Elwin Street Productions’ editorial department reporting to the Director and the Commissioning Editor.

The internship at Elwin Street Productions involves a varied and diverse range of activities across a number of different projects; including conducting research, picture research, copy writing, proofreading and liaison with authors, editors and freelancers. We are looking for graduates who are professional, dynamic and detail-oriented; InDesign skills and related work experience an advantage.

We are a small, very busy office and you will be expected to ‘muck in’ and contribute to general office administration such as answering the telephone, booking couriers etc.

Internships last for the duration of 4-6 weeks; hours are generally 9.30-5.30pm but can be flexible. Minimum wage depending on age, so at min.£8.00 per hour. Many of our previous interns have gone on to permanent jobs in publishing.
