We are looking to expand our team with a Senior 3D Designer (Events & Exhibitions) with a minimum of 5 years’ agency experience with at least a year in a similar role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a 3D Designer to work with a talented team on hugely creative and innovative projects. Our clients include Amazon, Snap Inc, ITV Studios, Hulu, Live Nation and Shopify.

Job Overview

What is the purpose of the job?

  • Reporting into the Creative Director you will interpret client briefs and translate them into innovative and creative concepts through layouts and spatial design using vectorworks and 3D visualisation in Cinema4D.
  • Utilising good knowledge of construction materials and techniques and technical production you will design creative solutions that are fit for purpose.
  • As a senior member of the studio team you will understand how to get to grips with complicated tasks quickly and effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

What do you have to achieve?

  • Client satisfaction
  • Creative development of the client’s brief to ensure that their goals are met
  • Generate ideas and solutions that meet the brief across environment, multimedia and video
  • The visualisation of a brief from draft concepts to final designs
  • Effective use of the creative process framework
  • On time delivery of all creative material from all relevant teams, produced to the highest

  • Partnership with other disciplines to ensure effective delivery and information flow

Job Activities – what do you have to do?

  • Site surveys to ensure understanding of the space to allow appropriate design development
  • Generate creative ideas with a plan B
  • Help “sell in” ideas to the CEO and client
  • Liaise with clients where required, leading creative presentations and discussions
  • Manage the whole design process from concept to final execution maintaining quality at every step
  • Sketch out concepts to demonstrate likely outcome and discuss initial look and feel with production team
  • Manage other team members to ensure appropriate and accurate work is created on time
  • Work with the team to conceptualise and visualise creative executions
    2D and 3D CAD Drawings, to include space planning and venue modelling
  • Scenic and Spatial Design (including staging, structures, rigging and motion)
  • Integrated Technical Design (including video, lighting, audio, interaction)
  • 3D Visualisation, AR and VR Models
  • Working with production team evaluate all design output to ensure fit for purpose, and stays true to the original design
  • Keeping up to speed on latest production technology, materials, techniques and implementation methods
  • Liaise with production team and suppliers as required
  • Plan ahead in terms of managing time zone differences across international teams
  • On-Site Design/Build Supervision

What technical knowledge do you need?

  • Good knowledge of technical production – rigging, lighting, sound and AV
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction design, materials and build techniques

  • An understanding of Industry jargon
