In collaboration with our designers you’ll maintain consistency with our app, whilst developing the visual language by taking advantage of the possibilities of web development. You’ll also work closely with the rest of the engineering team to build out content management capabilities.

Team culture

We work in small, cross-functional ‘core teams’ to turn business goals into product features. Everyone in the business is encouraged to join a core team, getting involved and contributing ideas for improving our product.

We value continuous improvement, sharing knowledge in our weekly tech review conducted in the style of “see one, do one, teach one” and deeper fortnightly retrospectives. We learn from our mistakes and have a no-blame culture, working together to prevent, diagnose and fix problems when they arise.

Our collaborative and inclusive structure encourages everyone to share ideas on how we can improve our processes, technology and product. Each member of the team enjoys autonomy and is exposed to working on the full stack, but specialise where they have a particular area of interest. To encourage learning and development, we run a monthly hack day, where everyone can experiment with technical or product ideas.

You’ll find us attending local meet-ups, including CodeHub hack nights, South West Mobile, Bristech, Bristol JS, Bristol SRE, Bristol Cloud Native & DevOps, Cloud Native Wales, Bristol Machine Learning, and ProductTank Bristol. Come and say hello!
