Level: Junior
Contract: Full Time
Based: London
Salary: Undisclosed

We have a rare opportunity for a high-calibre and enthusiastic graduate to take up a new role and join our dynamic and rapidly expanding media company based in central London’s Tech City.

TVF Media is a young and progressive company operating in many media areas, including interactive digital media, medical communications, television programming, post-production and the arts. Operating at the cutting edge of technology, developing new and unique solutions both for our clients and ourselves, IT is at the heart of TVF and its capacity to grow and deliver successful projects. The candidate we are looking for will be exposed to every facet of the technological fabric of the group.

During an intensive three-month training period based in our head office in Islington, you will gain a detailed knowledge of our network and the systems we operate. We are unusual in that we prefer to develop our own systems in-house rather than deploying commercial off-the-shelf packages. Therefore an interest in and aptitude for both hardware and programming is essential, as the successful candidate will learn about every element of what it takes to build and run a bespoke IT infrastructure for an award-winning media company. From the outset you will be given your own area of responsibility and this will grow rapidly to reflect your newly acquired skills.

In addition, you will become conversant in the various technologies employed in our post-production company and learn how to support the requirements of our broadcast clients. Finally, you will take on the challenges inherent in our video art division, a company founded on bespoke hardware and logic designed by our brilliant IT Director under whom you will serve the bulk of the training period.

You will also have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in one of our divisions within the group. There are exciting opportunities to get stuck into areas such as film and audio editing, graphic design, web-development, finance and systems, media sales or content production.

All candidates should have an excellent educational background. A degree in computer sciences would be an advantage but not essential if you can show interest and aptitude. Linux experience is desirable. The successful candidate is also likely to have developed their own software and will be able to show an inventive approach to the current computing landscape.

If you think you can display an inventive approach to systems management, are keen to pursue a career in IT and have a desire to take on high-level responsibility early in your career, please apply now.

The salary range for this role is usually £20-25k during the training/probationary period and £25-30k afterwards, however this is flexible depending on level of experience.
