Fifty Digital is a digital and social media agency that specialises in sponsorship and sport. The agency has been nominated for Young Agency of the Year at the BT Sport Industry Awards two years in a row (2018 & 2019).

Fifty Digital works with the likes of Ferrari Formula 1 Team, IAAF World Athletics, 2019 Rugby World Cup, Gulf Oil & Manchester United to name a few.

Fifty Digital is looking for a talented Digital Design Director with a mix of creative flair, strong systematic digital and social media design skills. We work across both digital and social media design - so this role in particular will be crucial to managing the agencies creative activity.


Role And Responsibilities

— Owns social media craft and capability output across multiple work streams, ensuring deliverables are of the highest quality

— Defines concepts and establishes design strategies that are feasible and innovative in the social media space

— Creates designs such as social media content plans, social media creative assets, presentation decks and storyboards

— Creates and defines flexible, coherent design systems, guidelines, visual languages and sets art direction to a high standard

— Advanced knowledge of social media and digital design as a discipline and a practice

— Has a holistic understanding and ability to assess the competitive landscape of social media design

— Manages, organises and maintains the quality of design throughout all phases of the project

— Excellent attention to detail when overseeing and creating design artefacts and assets

— Partners with strategy, creative / graphics team, digital and social media management team to ensure the project meets objectives and deadlines

— Leads and inspires design team and mentors team members on a daily basis

— Supports digital and social media management team to scope and define the project approach, deliverables, timelines and team requirements

— Is a team player and confident working with clients and other disciplines

— Takes an active part in client meetings where appropriate and able to lead when needed

— Has a proactive, positive can-do approach and able to direct and motivate the team around them

— Self-sufficient and able to work independently in fast paced social media environment if required

— Leads brief and idea conception, ensuring ideas are grounded in strategy and technology

— Explains and articulates design decisions and rationale with confidence. Provides actionable feedback and direction to team members

— Communicates effectively in verbal or written form, professionally and in a transparent manner



— 8+ years agency or similar experience

— Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals, methodologies and techniques

— Experience leading design teams

— Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)

— Motion design experience is a plus

— Interest in emerging technologies

— Digital and social media design portfolio
