Our client, a leading health and wellbeing brand, is looking for a Senior Packaging Designer to join their team. Taking direction from the Packaging Lead and Senior Designers, you will be working within a multi-disciplined team to create and execute engaging and disruptive consumer-first packaging design.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced packaging designer, with a deep understanding of packaging design within global 360 campaigns and experience working in a fast paced environment. You will be naturally collaborative, able to communicate confidently with both the team around you and other key stakeholders in the business, and will thrive on new challenges. Experience designing for a global retail brand, either agency-side or in-house, is a bonus.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a Senior Packaging Designer role, with a strong portfolio of high-quality packaging design with a focus on illustration.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging packaging design trends, as well as technical and legal requirements.
  • Innovative approach to materials and knowledge of sustainability.
  • Experience in the beauty/fashion/retail industry is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of artwork/repro/print/production/finishing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to translate the Brand Purpose strategic framework into design guidelines.
  • A willingness to get stuck in and be hands-on.
  • The ability to keep calm and think rationally under pressure, and react quickly and efficiently to changes in the workplace.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and deadline management skills.
  • Passion for the creative industry and up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and technologies.
  • The ability to develop creative design across the brand’s omni-channel touch points and platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of software packages such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Drive and determination to always get the job done to the highest standard, and willingness to go the extra mile to do so.
