You’re a dynamic, curious and confident brand strategist who thrives in a fastpaced, creative environment. You’re passionate about branding and possess a keen interest in exploring the intersection of creative and commercial opportunities. You enjoy collaborating with clients and creative teams to develop and craft compelling brand strategies and identities that push expectations and deliver results. With at least 5 years of full-time experience in a branding or design studio, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. You’re a self-starter who is excited by the opportunity to carve out your own space in a small studio culture.
Key responsibilities
Client projects
- Work closely with clients to understand their brand objectives, researching and analysing the context of their brief, which may include sector and brand audits, conducting interviews, audience segmentation studies, customer journey maps, preparing for and hosting workshops if required, and bringing new insights and unexpected angles to inform the delivery of highly effective, industry-leading work.
- Work closely with the CS team & CD or DD to shape inspiring briefs, establish creative strategies, and use words to spark exciting starting points for the creative team.
- Take primary responsibility for the delivery of brand positioning, brand architecture, naming workstreams.
- Communicate strategic recommendations effectively, whether spoken, in writing, or via presentation decks structured so that an idea lands with impact.
- Look for strategic opportunities to push the thinking and creative potential into more interesting, unconventional directions.
- Provide strategic guidance throughout projects to ensure that the work we produce not only resonates with our clients but also aligns seamlessly with their brief and objectives.
Marketing communications
- Elevate our profile through writing insightful marketing communications across PR channels, including press releases and award entries, opinion pieces and newsletters.
New business
- Collaborating on pitch decks, providing strategic insights and crafting compelling narratives.
- Participating in new business meetings and presenting to senior client stakeholders with confidence.
- Track sector and market trends for key client accounts, identifying strategic growth opportunities.
Key requirements
- 5+ years full-time experience in a branding or design studio, working with well-known brands and communicating directly to C-Suite.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering exciting, effective brand strategies
- Excellent communication skills, with good written and spoken English.
- Highly organised with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Strong creative and commercial understanding.
- Passion and experience writing compelling, creative copy and developing verbal identities would be beneficial.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Details
- 9:30 - 6pm working hours with 1 hour for lunch.
- Depending on experience, we’re open to discussing a part time role (3 day/week minimum)
- Salary negotiable depending on experience.
- Hybrid working arrangement: Mon - Wed in the studio, Thur - Fri optional work from home
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays, Christmas closure, and 1 extra day/year of service up to 5 years.
- Team lunch on the last Friday of every month.
- Social events and a discretionary weekend trip approx every 18 months.
