Houdini Designer
Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Houdini Designer to join our core design team. You’ll bring a balance of technical and creative Houdini experience, a keen aesthetic eye, problem-solving ideas and energy in your approach and have a portfolio that demonstrates all of the above.
We’re a growing team, have recently moved into a new studio space and are in the midst of launching our new brand and website, so it’s an exciting time to be introducing new people, new skills and new ways of thinking to the team. We want someone to work alongside our Creative Leads and wider artist team to continue to take Found to the next level.
You are able to take direction and respect project briefs whilst bringing an edge of your own to the work. R&D is a core part of our practice, so you’ll also have the drive to try ideas and push yourself and your creative responses out of the norm, but have the ability to do so within project bounds and client requirements.
We need someone with an amazing body of work, a hands-on approach and excellent communication skills (both spoken and written). You’re process-driven but with commercial experience, you’re excited by exploring new techniques and take responsibility in your stride.
We run a supportive studio, with individual artist development high on the agenda. This role requires someone with a nurturing side, looking out for the design team, imparting knowledge and mentoring those you work with.
From a technical point of view, we expect our new designer to be on the pulse, so an excellent technical and creative knowledge of Houdini, Cinema4D, Redshift and Octane is a must, alongside Adobe Creative Suite and Google applications. Experience and interest in Unreal Engine are also a nice-to-have.
We are completely open to where our new designer comes from and what their background and experience is.
You might be someone in a small independent studio wanting to make a move into a different size business or looking to work on projects with more profile. Someone looking to take the step up into a more senior role, with more responsibility and autonomy. Or you’re working in-house at a leading brand, looking to make use of that experience across multiple sectors.
This role is full-time and will be based in our Farringdon studio in London. We are currently working remotely but will be moving a flexible mix of studio / remote working once lockdown ends.
Found is a growing, dynamic company with an open, warm and inclusive culture. that strives to nurture and develop everyone in the team.
We offer salary depending on experience, 25+ days holiday per year plus Christmas shutdown, the ability to work flexibly, annual appraisals and personal development plans, monthly 121s, being part of the company bonus and pension schemes, sabbaticals after 5 & 10 years and your own training budget.
These are exciting times - we’d love you to join us.
