Senior Digital Designer
Job Description
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Digital Designer to join our team in London to help shape and push the boundaries of digital within the studio.
Working closely with our Digital Design Director, as well as the wider team, you’ll bring beautiful brands to life through meticulously crafted and distinctive experiences. We’re looking for a digital thinker with fresh ideas, great technical skills and someone who strives for the highest quality of design work. An important aspect of this role will be to deeply understand the positioning, audience and personality of each brand you work on and create digital experiences to suit.
Responsibilities
- Drive digital design within the studio alongside the Digital Design Director to translate brands into beautifully crafted and industry leading digital experiences.
- Conduct research and translate brand strategies into page/site narratives through site maps, UX, content, visual and interaction design.
- Harmonise user behaviours, mindsets & expectations with business and brand needs.
- Define, create and document scalable design systems (of all sizes) and responsive designs, from concept to final development handoff.
- Create visual interesting and clear concepts for how a design comes to life through prototypes, motion guidance and interaction.
- Interrogate and translate messaging requirements to help communicate products, services and offerings. A passion for story-telling and synthesising content.
- Work closely with other members of the team, across brand and art direction to translate ideas and theories into well designed and leading experiences. Making sure digital is always considered from the start.
- Collaborate and communicate with developers throughout a design phase, especially during hand off, staging and QA to ensure a high level of execution.
- Sketch and develop wireframes, storyboards for animation/motion as needed.
- Ensure consistency within your work and other members of team. The majority of the day to day design will be your responsibility, so it’s crucial you want to engage on all levels of work.
- Run and manage projects, from concept & ideation through to design & prototyping, and into development.
- Collaborate and mentor the skills of other designers, fostering growth and creativity.
- Craft compelling presentations with clear narratives, connecting strategic insights to creative outcomes.
- Present design thinking with confidence, enthusiasm and clarity.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years design experience within digital design.
- Passion and experience within brand projects, working with the intricacies of brand strategy, typography, photography/art direction and motion — with a primary focus on crafting exceptional digital experiences.
- A desire to shape and push the boundaries of digital design.
- Enthusiastic and well versed at designing and leading all aspects of the digital design process, particularly; concepting, UX, UI, responsive and mobile first design, prototyping and motion. Ensuring digital designs are scalable, flexible (where necessary) and consistent across all touch points.
- You are able to make the complex, simple.
- Ability to develop partnerships and build rapport with clients, developers and collaborators.
- You are a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Highly collaborative, with strong multi-tasking skills. You are digitally proficient, detail-oriented and organised.
- You have an awareness of the time required to complete design tasks and are able to manage your time, project timelines and meetings accordingly.
- Stay up to date with latest digital trends and like to experiment with new approaches.
- Software: Figma Master, Adobe CC, Notion, Basic Motion Skills
Details
- Salary dependent on experience
- Permanent position with a six-month probationary period
- Hybrid working: 2 days in the studio, 3 days from home.
- Our studio is based in London’s Design District located in North Greenwich. Design District offers a number of amenities including a cafe, food stalls and a basketball court
