An exciting opportunity for a Junior Traffic Manager to join the team at TMW Unlimited. The Traffic team are the gatekeepers to all resource requirements placed on the business, responsible for managing expectations of both Client and Project management in terms of best practice and efficiency. We balance efficiencies with giving the creative department the platform to create great work.

The Traffic team, manage the workload of our Creative Department (Art Directors, Copy Writers, Designers, Artworkers) and facilitate the connection between Creative and our Motion Department.

A Traffic Manager needs to be commercially aware. We assist the Client and Project Management teams with quoting and ensuring there is adequate cost cover for all resources booked. Projects are tracked through to delivery with the Traffic Manager following up on timesheet completion and tracking burn rates against budgets.

The Traffic team uphold agency process, ensuring departments across the agency are adhering to the appropriate ways of working. Whilst process is important it must not hold up getting work through the agency or delivery of client requirements. A Traffic Manager must be able to use their judgement for what is best to maintain the Creative integrity and efficiency, whilst helping teams deliver on time. We are here to aid Client and Project Management by being solutions driven and guiding efficiencies in the delivery of projects through Creative.

What you will do

  • Organisation of resources through your teams:
  • Use your knowledge to put the right people on the right jobs according to their skillset/abilities and ensuring consistency of resource. Full understanding of briefs and what resources are required creatively to execute the brief.
  • Negotiating and booking freelancers when resource requirements increase.
  • Inputting into weekly commercial reports on utilisations across the departments.
  • Working with Creatives on timesheet competition and commercial awareness on jobs they are working on.
  • Keeping your Creative Directors involved in decision-making around resource and overseeing projects
  • Timely response to client and project management ad hoc requests and keeping the teams updated on project progression.
  • Managing creative diaries, putting in briefings, WIP’s and 1st thought meetings.
  • Ensuring concept and design turnaround times are adhered to.
  • Leading stand-ups confidently and resolving issues/changes highlighted.
  • Check in with creatives to ensure work is progressing and removing blockers. Being an extension of the client teams with managing the projects.
  • Working through and managing all resource requests, as well as working alongside client teams to plan for the lifetime of projects, ensuring adequate forward planning.
  • Supporting wider operational efficiencies.
