Senior Motion Designer
Job Description
We’re looking for a talented and super-ambitious Senior Motion Designer to join our growing team in Brighton. We want someone to work alongside our Creative Director and motion team to help drive the company’s output forward by developing ideas and concepts in response to creative briefs.
The role will require plenty of hands-on design and animation work so 2D and 3D skills are a must. You’ll be exploring solutions collaboratively with the team, working towards creating a unified vision for projects and presenting ideas to clients. With this exposure, we hope the role will develop into our Head of Motion in the not-to-distant future.
The role involves overseeing the motion team and offering guidance and support so we need someone great with people and feedback.

Salary range for this role is £50-65k per year, dependent on experience.

We’re a motion design studio working with direct-to-brand and creative agency clients to produce all sorts of motion-first projects including brand packages and toolkits, promos and ad campaigns.

About the role
The role offers a brilliant opportunity for a senior motion designer looking to take the next career step, with a pathway to becoming Head of Motion.
Role requirements:
- Proven right to work in the UK.
- Living within commuting distance to Brighton (or plans to relocate). Having in-person interaction is something we value and believe positively impacts our performance as a team. We will not be accepting applications for fully remote workers but we support a hybrid working set-up with the option to work 2 days per week from home.
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in 2D & 3D motion projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Creating high-quality motion work for projects, working to briefs and agreed schedules.
- Supporting the Creative Director in leading the motion team to create beautiful work through open and collaborative practices.
- Supporting the Head of Production with developing proposals, concentrating on our creative and technical approach.
- Concepting and R&D for new projects.
- Leading creative presentations and discussions in client meetings.
- Developing visual ideas for scripts and storyboarding.
- Supporting the motion team with ideas, workflows and troubleshooting.
- Giving and managing creative feedback.
Skills and qualities for success:
- Expert knowledge of After Effects and C4D.
- Confident with communicating and presenting ideas.
- Awareness of current industry trends and ability to visualise standout treatments.
- A solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to and interest in mentoring aspiring members of the creative team.
- Experience working in a creative agency or in-house brand studio would be beneficial.
