Mid-weight Brand Designer
Job Description
We have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic, highly-creative Mid-Weight Designer to join our growing brand team at our Bristol HQ. This is a hands-on creative role. You’ll be working within the brand team on projects of all shapes and sizes, for local, national and international brands.
Our ethos is simple: to create meaningful and engaging work for our clients partners, with heart and soul. We promote a strong studio culture that feeds creativity.
This is a great opportunity for a young designer to work as part of our super-talented brand team. Being part of a small and close-knit team will allow you to develop your skills in all areas of brand design. You’ll be expected to get stuck in from initial ideas, right through to delivery of work. You’re highly creative and someone who lives and breathes graphic design.
Before applying for the role please take a look over our portfolio and make sure you’re the right fit for the role and what we do. We don’t want to waste your time or ours.
What your background might look like...
A minimum of 2 years experience working within a small-mid sized agency environment. If you’re a junior looking to make a step up, then this is a good opportunity to do that.
You will have a background in design, with some formal training (you don’t need a uni degree to be a great designer).
You’ll have experience working in a fast-paced studio environment and you get a kick out of it.
You’ll have experience working on branding projects of varying shapes and sizes.
You’ll also have experience designing layouts for reports and brand collateral.
You’ll have a strong portfolio of work showing creative thinking and design work across different sectors.
You’re super comfortable working in Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. After Effects is a bonus but not essential.
What you’ll be like to work with…
You’re an excellent communicator able to understand, question and articulate design rationale.
You’re a problem solver, not a problem finder. You rise to the challenge of tackling communication problems.
You have a genuine passion for graphic design and you’ll bring inspiration to the team.
You’re extremely organised and able to manage your own time – smashing deadlines and expectations.
You’re determined, considered and conscientious.
You’re honest, committed and kind.
You’re confident and willing to take risks in the name of creativity.
You’re a self-starter who takes the initiative and can figure things out for themselves.
You’re always looking for opportunities to learn and develop their skill-set.
You’re a natural team player with a collaborative approach.
You thrive with a good work / life balance.
