Job Description

DRUM are seeking a fearless Midweight Creative with their fingers firmly on the pulse of all things culture, with a portfolio of unexpected and bold ideas, to join our award-winning agency.

You might already be in a Midweight Creative role or looking to make your next move up, but whatever level you’re at you’ll be someone who wants to work in a team and have maverick thinking of your own. We want you to drive the creative innovation of DRUM forward and help brands make impact in culture (maybe in ways they didn’t even know existed).

You’ll be responsible for coming up with original and innovative ideas for a variety of DRUM and OMG clients that help brands engage with audiences in new ways.

Ideally you have some experience of working on partnerships, or multi-stakeholder briefs, and campaigns that deliver stand out and shareable work that makes people want to tune in.

Our client base and briefs are incredibly varied so you could be working on a brand partnership brief with Hypebeast, pitching an AFP to Channel 4, using the latest innovation in gaming to put our brands at the centre of emerging culture or creating an experiential activation that gets shared far and wide. However, we also hope you’ll bring us something brand new too.

No week is ever the same, so you’ll need to be on top of culture, both mainstream & avant-garde and use this knowledge to push the creative output of Drum into new arenas. Whether that’s spotting opportunities to innovate through new technologies and platforms or recommending directors and cultural influencers to work with.

Whatever the brief, we’re looking for the freshest, culture-shaping ideas that set new standards and leave a lasting mark.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pioneering Work

• Working on briefs with oversight from the ACD and CD with the experience to take your ideas that stay true to the core concept and strategy from brief through to client presentation and into delivery

• Able to solve problems on the fly and adapt to new situations and tasks

• An understanding of budgets and the types of executional ideas that fit within them

• A proactive thinker who will both answer the brief, and bring along a surprise or two aswell

Supporting Creative Director & ACD

• Identify emerging trends and opportunities in culture and share with the team

• Support on pitches to unlock growth for agencies and new clients for DRUM

• Be an enthusiastic driving force and multi-disciplinary magician for the creative team, acting as a team player and solo superstar

• A creative ambassador for DRUM with clients and partner agencies looking to you for knowledge & expertise on cultural and partnership activations

• Engage with key clients, building relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFFERED

• 3-5+ years experience

• Experience taking on briefs and working with a mixed agency team

• Open to collaborating both internally and externally

• Confident presenting to clients, explaining your creative idea simply and coherently and taking feedback

• Decent time and task management and ability to work on multiple projects

We are aware that you may not have every single one of these boxes ticked, and that societal bias means non-male, neurodivergent, POC and LGBTQIA+ folk are less likely to apply for roles they feel ‘underqualified’ for. We at Drum would like to make it clear that if you feel you fit this role, we would like you to apply, even if you do not have 100% of these criteria.
