Reports into: Design Director

Location: London

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent, 42.5 hours per week

The Broadwick design and creative team believe in pushing boundaries through beauty and brand. The in-house team work collaboratively across the entire Broadwick Group, covering creative ideation, brand management and creation, graphic design, motion design, video content and copywriting. The team is committed to inspiring through beautiful design and creativity.

What we’re looking for:

We're looking for a passionate and personable Senior Designer to join our in-house creative team. You’ll head up the spaces side of the creative team and will be responsible for servicing the creative needs of Broadwick Spaces and Broadwick services.

You'll be supporting the Design Director in the creative management of our portfolio of world class venues and spaces whilst maintaining brand integrity across the board.

You will have a keen interest in creating a supportive environment and give advice and help where necessary to your Junior Designer and contribute across the whole team. We are looking for an ambitious thinker, with the ability to deliver above expectations across the spaces side of the creative team.

You’ll be looking to hone your skills in creating brands, art direction and creative leadership. You will be excited to develop our pre-existing venues and brands, taking a lead in meetings and discussions and directing the team. You’ll have proven experience of developing ideas into exciting creative campaigns and have a portfolio that showcases this. You will also enjoy working as part of a wider team, getting stuck into creative problem solving.

  • Junior Designer

What you’ll be responsible for:

Creative

  • Working closely with the marketing teams to produce sales collateral.
  • Working with our in-house brand guidelines to produce accurate and on brand promotional material as well as developing pre-existing brands.
  • Leading art direction on shoots and managing videographers and photographers.
  • Inputting strong and coherent ideas on creative campaigns across the growing portfolio.
  • Bringing a high level of industry awareness into research as well as informed ideas around experience, talent and trends.
  • Consistently delivering design solutions from concept to execution.
  • Understanding brand principles, design systems and visual language and having the ability to define a ‘brand world’.
  • Being vocal and being able to give your opinions and recommendations on what you think is right.
  • Taking direction and feedback well, with an ability to re-work ideas or creating something entirely new.
  • Presenting ideas in a way that captivates audiences, from deck to verbal presentation.

Team

  • Take a senior role in our small but ambitious creative team, supporting and mentoring your direct report.
  • Supporting the Design Director with resource planning and leading on recruitment with in the spaces silo as the team grows.
  • Creating a work environment that aligns with Broadwick values and principles.

Other

  • Carrying out ad hoc duties when required to.

You’ll need to have:

  • 5+ years of industry experience, with a passion for music, arts and culture.
  • Experience managing a designer with multiple and competing work priorities. Inspire and motivate your team.
  • Experience working as a team and confident to take part in meetings, workshops and interactions with clients.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Personable and hard-working approach to the role, as well as demonstrating empathy towards the core team and beyond.
  • An ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and brilliant organisational skills.
  • A desire to go the extra mile to achieve what you set out to do.
  • Expert skills in Adobe CC with a passion for motion graphics.
  • Experience in front end web development (Figma / Adobe XD).
  • A proven understanding of typography and layout.
  • Print, digital and motion is second nature to you.
