Job Title: Advertising Senior Designer
The Advertising Senior Designer is a highly skilled and creative professional responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering visually compelling and effective advertising campaigns across various platforms. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as copywriters, and art directors, to develop engaging visual concepts that effectively communicate the desired message and brand identity. The Senior Designer must possess a strong understanding of design principles, advertising trends, and consumer behaviour to create impactful and persuasive visuals that resonate with the target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conceptualize and create visually stunning and innovative designs for advertising campaigns, including print ads, digital banners, social media assets, outdoor signage, and other promotional materials.
2. Collaborate closely with the advertising and production team, copywriters, and art directors to develop compelling visual concepts that align with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
3. Translate creative briefs into design solutions that effectively communicate key messages and evoke desired emotional responses from the target audience.
4. Ensure the consistency and quality of design elements throughout all advertising materials, maintaining brand integrity and visual identity.
5. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advertising design, and integrate them into creative concepts and executions.
6. Conduct research and gather insights on consumer behavior, competitor activities, and market trends to inform and enhance design strategies.
7. Present design concepts to internal stakeholders and clients, incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary.
8. Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of final assets, adhering to project timelines and budgets.
9. Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, offering feedback and fostering their professional growth.
10. Implement internal processes within the design and creative team.
11. Creating internal marketing materials to build Motus and help with gaining new business
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
2. Proven work experience as a senior designer or a similar role in an advertising agency or creative studio.
3. Extensive portfolio demonstrating a strong command of design principles, creative thinking, and a diverse range of advertising projects.
4. Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and familiarity with multimedia and animation tools.
5. Solid understanding of branding principles and the ability to translate brand guidelines into effective visual executions.
6. Excellent knowledge of typography, color theory, composition, and layout design.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to both internal teams and clients.
8. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while meeting tight deadlines.
9. A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and provide mentorship to junior designers.
10. Experience in creating illustrated storyboards and scamps
11. Proven experience in art working for print incl. out of home
Working working a small team you will be expecting to be involved in all aspects of the design and creative process. A real muck in attitude will be required when needed.
