Role overview 📹
While most of your job will involve all things content creation - being a Creative Social Media Editor means much more than just creating impactful and viral content for our TikTok Fashion brand. Within this role, you’ll be creating daily content while also working to find content creators to collaborate with on different content series and developing content strategies for the brand.
Expect to create, plan and develop content under the direction of our Audience Growth Executive and our Head of Audience Growth.
As a Creative Social Media Editor within SCREENSHOT Media’s social department, you’ll want to keep pushing yourself and your platform to disrupt and level up! 🚀
Your tasks and responsibilities 😃
- Create fresh, exciting, and unique daily content to help capture a wider audience across our new fashion TikTok
- Create and oversee the launch of new collaboration strategies with content creators, working directly with the latest and greatest talents in the Fashion space on social media
- Coordinate with Audience Growth Executive to guarantee the workflow, production and output standards are being upheld
- Ensure daily and weekly workload is delivered on time and in line with our publishing schedule
- Prepare accurate analytic reports for our weekly and monthly targets across views, engagements and followers
- Strategy development and initiative are expected as you gain more experience within the role
- Ensure content meets editorial, ethical and legal standards and is in line with SCREENSHOT Media’s brand and tone of voice.
Role skills and requirements ✅
- You must be passionate about fashion, social media fashion trends, and already paying attention to fashion stories across news, entertainment and celebrity fashion
- Ideally, some prior experience working in social media and fashion, this can be an internship, placement or some freelance work. However, we also encourage candidates with no prior experience to apply as we review applications on merit
- A BA or any higher qualification in fashion, journalism, media, marketing or fashion communication is a plus but in no way a must
- Mid-level understanding of Adobe Suite, Canva, and TikTok editing
- You must be a team player, eager to get fully stuck in the work and absolutely love social media and content creation
- You have a good understanding of how TikTok operates, understand the platform's interface, and can spot viral and successful content
- You are confident being in front of the camera and producing front-facing content on TikTok
- You have experience or can expect to learn how to use scheduling software
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- You already know or are eager to learn about data, analytics, and ever-changing algorithms
- You are able to learn and apply content strategy insights around brand KPIs while staying true to the tone and brand voice of the company
- You have copywriting skills and can research topics thoroughly to report on them concisely
- You are friendly and adaptable when speaking to content creators and have an appetite for spotting strong video content
- You have quick thinking ability and thrive in fast-paced environments
- You are able to create original (brand-appropriate) reactive social media posts - experience of navigating sensitive and often controversial issues on social media is a bonus.
- You are willing to take initiative when necessary
What we offer ✨
- This position is £23,000 - £24,000 per annum
- Candidates must be London based
- A hybrid WFH and office culture. We have a beautiful office in Shoreditch and ask our team to come in a minimum of twice a week. We totally get it that after Covid, no one wants to be in the office 5 days a week, but at the same time know that we’re best when we’re bouncing off of each other and brainstorming together.
- Our working hours are from 9am to 6pm.
