Junior Copywriter
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Junior Copywriter to join our growing internal marketing team at Matter Of Form. At the heart of this role, you will produce elegant thought leadership with insights into consumer behaviour and the future of industries we serve.
Overview.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional wordsmith and storyteller with enthusiasm for the luxury brands we work alongside and our role in shaping & driving their ongoing success through defining ‘what’s next’.
You will have the opportunity to write both on behalf of MOF and our sister agency Diffusion Digital. You will distil what makes us tick as agencies into bite-sized and longer-form copy for our audiences of clients, prospects, colleagues, talent and the media. You must have the versatility and skill to adopt differing tones of voice and to craft copy which elegantly brings to life each brand personality and expertise.
Equally at home writing for blogs, case studies, digital and social (and with a portfolio to prove it) you will be hands-on, motivated and ambitious, producing engaging, beautifully-written copy to tight deadline managing multiple work streams at the same time.
You’ll work closely with internal team members, especially our Senior Marketing & Cultural Manager, to develop content ideas in support of our overall marketing strategy. You will be as comfortable generating your own bold, innovative content ideas as you are following a brief.
A strategic thinker, the writer will add value to every project by approaching it with an open and curious mind, ready to research, interview and ask ‘why’ one too many times to get to the heart of a matter.
A willingness to keep up with the latest trends and developments in our industry is a given. As is a growth mindset. The writer must be enthusiastic about skills development, continual learning and maximising every opportunity to push themselves and those around them.
Responsibilities include.
- Write compelling copy across our digital and social channels in line with our Tone of Voice and Brand Personality, both short and long form.
- Own and champion the MOF tone of voice, editing all existing and new copy to fit within our guidelines.
- Edit copy for content & grammar.
- Research & produce insightful, strategic thought leadership articles to drive our thinking and inspire our team, clients and networks.
- Helping to generate content ideas that will fascinate and satisfy our clients’ needs and contribute to our marketing and communication strategies for the year.
- Distil complex luxury brand concepts, strategies and consumer behaviour insights into clear engaging language.
- Partner with our SEO team, to ensure we are producing and optimising SEO driven content to drive traffic to our channels.
- Support on internal comms, talent acquisition and employer branding projects.
- Ability to work effectively from either a written or verbal brief.
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple work streams and hit tight deadlines.
- Willingness to give & receive feedback and follow direction where necessary.
- Team player with a passion for helping to foster a supportive, fun culture to work in.
Key Experience, Skills, & Characteristics.
- 1-2 years’ experience as a content copywriter.
- Luxury brand experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working across numerous brands and crafting copy inline with tone of voice guidelines.
- Examples of long & short form copy, across multiple channels including social, print and web.
- Experience working in an agency or similar environment is nice to have
- A solid understanding of SEO is highly preferred.
