Senior Designer (studio based)
Job Description
Field are looking for a creative Senior Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio to join our Sheffield studio. This is a new role, working alongside the Head of Design, covering a range of arts, education and culture projects across the UK.
Our studio works across multiple disciplines, including: brand design, brand strategy, exhibitions, experiential projects, motion design, digital/UX and web. Outside of our core specialisms we collaborate with experts in their fields, such as copywriters, artists and architects. The role will be a great fit for someone who revels in multi-threaded projects and has an interest in all design and creative disciplines. You will have the opportunity to feed into existing projects as part of a collaborative team and make your mark on new projects with the opportunity to bring your individualism and creative flair to our already talented team.
We would like you to have the ability to think on a strategic level, and map this thinking to client objectives and goals, whilst maintaining a clear creative vision for any project. We would also expect you to work closely with the junior and mid-weight designers, overseeing and advising on all design and motion design outputs.
As a studio we work across multiple disciplines and that requires broad technical knowledge. Whilst we don’t expect you to be an expert in moving image or web design, we’re looking for someone who can oversee the design and take the creative lead on these types of projects.
Core Skills:
- Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of After Effects and Figma are a bonus (or at least a desire to learn).
- Good people skills with good presentation skills, and an ability to communicate with and establish good client relationships.
- Good understanding of how your concepts and designs can work in motion from the outset.
- A good sense of critical reflection, the ability to develop ideas to a professional standard, with the ability to prioritise and organise your time around multiple projects in collaboration with the project lead.
- Additional skills in the following areas would be beneficial but not essential Cinema 4D, HTML, CSS and JS knowledge.

- Cycle to Work scheme
- 23 (+2 xmas) days holidays a year pro rata plus bank holidays
- Contributory pension scheme
- Health and wellbeing plan with Westfield
