Creative Director
Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Creative Director to lead and motivate our creative project teams to deliver incredible things.
You’ll be working directly with our amazing animators, designers and client services team using your creativity and leadership skills to present and deliver animation projects to the highest possible standards.
Salary: £60,000+ (negotiable depending on experience)
Reporting to: Tom Judd - Co-Founder / Executive Creative Director
Level: Director
Type: Full-time, permanent
Location: London, Old Street, 1-2 days per week in the Studio (flexible)

About you
You’re passionate about helping to get the best out of people in order to produce high-quality animation and illustration deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail is second-to-none and you can unpack, understand and communicate a client brief effectively to creatives at various stages in their career.
With confidence in your ability to present work, and negotiate internal and client priorities in order to get the best result possible, you also have a deep understanding and working knowledge of Adobe CC animation and illustration software, and are able to help your colleagues find efficient ways to design and animate.
Key Skills
Excellent illustration and design skills along with a keen critical eye
Wide-ranging animation experience
Fluency in the Adobe CC suite
A strong ability to present confidently to large global clients
Strong communication and organisation skills in leading multiple large project teams simultaneously
Previous experience directing large scale animation projects
A positive and solutions focused attitude
An understanding of the commercial aspect of running an animation studio
A drive to improve the studio into the future by supporting the leadership team
Your responsibilities
Make sure creative quality always hits Animade standards in terms of design and motion - attention to detail is key
Understand the Animade brand and inject that into our projects
Unpack and answer a client brief and confidently lead a team from pitch stage to secure the project and then through to delivery
Work closely with the Art Director, Animation Director and Creatives to find the right aesthetic approach to any project (provide conceptual treatments and visual reference)
Lead pitch presentations and creation of pitch decks
Ensure client is inspired and feels like they are getting a premium experience
Identify opportunities for teaching the team
Find opportunities for improving creative output and improving efficiency across our process
