Edit + Content Lead (WracK)
Job Description
We’re really excited that WracK (the in-house production company based out of Wieden+Kennedy London) might be your next move as an Edit & Content Lead. We hope the below covers everything you need to know about working with us, but if not we’ll be happy to answer any more questions as we move through the interview process.
WHAT EXACTLY IS WRACK?
WracK is an award winning Creative Production Company housed within Wieden + Kennedy London. We're not tied to a fixed roster of Directors, instead we take on each brief with fresh eyes to source talent to create work that is both unique and ambitious.
With a team of in-house editors, motion designer and content creation we are equipped to bring to life creative briefs at a moment's notice.
We can work traditionally and non- traditionally; creating work that’s made completely internally for social, or producing more traditional work. Meaning we can scale up or down to any shaped budget or brief.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal addition to the team has advanced editing experience with a thorough knowledge of the Adobe suites ( Premiere/After Effects, Photoshop/Illustrator, etc). The Edit & Content Lead will act as both an editor/post lead and content creator, but also as a creative lead for WracK, inspiring the content team and agency creatives with your creative energy and content experience. The end goal being to drive & expand business in-house, ensure craft, as well as to identify opportunities to further capture external facing work.
As Edit & Content Lead, you are the first port of call for reviewing and assessing the post-production needs on a project along with the lead Producer. You will work on a range of projects including both internal projects such as moodfilms, showreels or case studies, but also external facing work such as online / social media content, TVCs for broadcast and film or photography shoots. In addition to being the lead content creator/editor for the department, you will also focus on helping to lead the department; offering your expertise and advice to on-going projects, helping manage & delegate workload among team members and help our in-house team develop & thrive.
Additionally you’ll be comfortable with the following:
- Lead post production workflow from ingest of footage, editing, sound design, animation, to delivering and versioning for final delivery.
- Offer creative solutions and ideas to a project where necessary, showing you’re both reliable to meet project deadlines, but can offer creative solutions and ideas to enhance the final product.
- Work closely with senior management and Head of WracK to sell in-house capabilities to the agency, and externally to existing clients - helping generate new business.
- Creative networking & internal leadership: Fostering relationships with creative directors and creative teams.
- Lead by example and demonstrate a detailed understanding of Wrack processes and workflows across all projects and how all team members are involved.
- Drive conversations on tech solutions and ensure department operations are working within the larger agency pipeline. Be the voice of other editors in the department on what’s needed to keep up with project demand and innovate.
- Lead the creative direction of new business and PR projects made in-house, coming up with creative projects and passion projects that will help with public and agency perception. Encouraging other members of the team to do the same.
Finally, but most importantly – we’re all about inclusive teams, and inviting people in, no matter their background – and we need you to be too. You’ll be respectful and understanding of different points of view. You’ll question your assumptions and check your biases. And you’ll be an active participant in making W+K London a place where everyone can thrive.
WHAT WE OFFER IN RETURN:
A structure that’s only as hierarchical as it needs to be for things to get done – everybody here has a voice, and you’ll be joining at a stage of our growth where you can have a real impact.
Being part of a small production company that's affiliated with a forty-five-year-old creative powerhouse comes with big agency perks – and ours are some of the best in the industry. Again, we can give you more detail on all of these as we go through the interview process but here's a summary:
- 25+ flexible annual leave policy (and you don’t need to use any days over the festive break)
- 5 week sabbatical for every 5 years employment
- £250 annual creative bursary
- Free breakfast daily and lunch provided Tues,Wed,Thurs
- Enhanced maternity / paternity leave
- Free financial advice and mortgage broker
- Private healthcare
- Nursery fees scheme as part of a broader Enjoy Benefits hub
- Plenty of social activities including our fabled annual Founders’ Day celebration
Application deadline: Friday 28th February.
We're looking forward to hearing from you.
