Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a talented junior/mid weight motion designer to join our creative team and help us deliver engaging and dynamic motion content both internally for Colorido and for our varied client projects. You could be just starting out and looking for your break, you could be a year or two in and looking for a step up. Either way the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of animation and motion design principles, a keen focus on using technology for storytelling, a great sense of composition, timing and pacing for moving imagery and typography and the ability to adapt their animation style to suit a variety of industries and clients.

Colorido Studios is an independent creative consultancy based in Twickenham on the jungle paradise of Eel Pie Island. We believe in creating thoughtful and vibrant brand work with a bold design approach along and a strong emphasis on quality and craft.
We’re a small studio but with an already envious client list and a great portfolio of work and most importantly, we believe in being nice people to work with.
Our team works in the (very lovely) studio 3 days a week and two from home. Mondays we’re all in and we all work from home on Fridays.
What we’d like you to do:
- Create dynamic and engaging motion graphics work for the studio and our clients
- Collaborate with the design team to help bring our brand work to life in new and pleasing ways
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in motion design
- Be involved with internal and external meetings to share ideas, solutions and concepts
- Contribute to the overall creative output of the studio with your skills including concept work and pitches
What we’d like you to have:
- An appropriate degree in motion design/animation or similar
- Proven agency/studio experience as a motion designer along with a sweet portfolio
- An understanding of kinetic typography
- In-depth understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects for both 2d and 3d animation
- A good knowledge of creating, optimising and outputting content for digital platforms including social formats and JSON files for the web
- Ideally experience modelling, texturing and rendering with Blender, Cinema 4D or similar
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
What you’ll get from us:
- £27,000 to £32,000 DOE
