- Salary: Paying £60k+ (based on experience)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
- Basis: Full time, permanent
- Location: Canary Wharf, London - WeWork - Hybrid office-remote working offered
- Reporting to: Head of Design
About this role
We are on the look out for a Senior UI Product Designer to join the team at Onetrace, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product. Dive into a hands-on role, crafting high quality user experiences informed by user research and insights. Collaborating closely with dynamic, cross-functional teams, you'll ensure design consistency and functionality across the board. As a champion of best design practices, you will advocate for and implement high-quality design standards, influencing strategic product decisions. Your efforts will continuously elevate the user experience, driving our product success to new heights.

What you’ll do
- Lead and manage design projects from conception to delivery across a multi-platform product
- Prioritise and manage multiple projects and timelines, ensuring timely delivery of designs and documentation
- Ensure design excellence by meeting usability standards and delivering a seamless user experience
- Identify and pursue new design-driven opportunities, encompassing all aspects from user research to prototyping and high-quality UI design
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user-flows, process flows and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and test design idea
- Create and implement attractive, intuitive, and cohesive user interface
- Support user testing with customers, consolidate feedback, and make informed decision-making on how to move forward
- Regularly collaborate with other developers and product managers to ensure design feasibility and fidelity
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Clearly communicate, present, and justify design decisions to stakeholders
- Maintain and develop our design system with consistency
- Leverage industry knowledge and best practices to bring new and fresh ideas to the table; we love to innovate at Onetrace!
We would love to hear from you if you are someone who:
Essential 💫
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio of work that showcases user-centred design practice
- Ability to execute UI projects to an excellent level of quality
- You have ample experience delivering great design at consumer-focused product companies
- Must have a solid background in product and digital design
- Proficient in designing for both web and mobile applications
- Creative thinker and doer
- You approach design with a focus on the user and think about the customer journey as a whole
- Master in Figma (we don’t use Sketch or Adobe XD)
- Excellent prototyping skills
- Has experience in user testing and the ability to make key decisions on the overall user experience
- Can take a lead on how to improve the products whilst maintaining consistency in the design system
- Top level thinking as well as the day to day design and handovers to developers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- A willingness to undertake further training as appropriate, and to adopt new procedures as and when required
Desirable 🚀
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Proficiency in prototyping platforms like Protopie and Framer
- A good understanding of branding and how this translates in a digital world
- Experience coming from another tech startup
