Illustration Agent
Job Description
The Different Folk, launched in September 2020, represents some of the best contemporary creatives from around the globe. We’re excited to grow the agency and are looking to bring on a new member of staff to help manage incoming projects and expand the agency.
As an experienced Illustration Agent, you will be comfortable running projects across illustration and animation for clients in the advertising, editorial and publishing sectors from quoting through to final delivery. You’ll also be confident presenting the agencies, booking and attending portfolio meetings to help grow The Different Folk’s client base.
Main Responsibilites:
• Review briefs and recommend artists as appropriate.
• Attend briefing calls to ensure artists are fully briefed in and quotations are accurate.
• Quote incoming briefs from editorial, advertising and publishing sectors.
• Manage varying projects from proposal to delivery, ensuring delivery is on time and to a high standard.
• Strategic creative development of artist portfolios.
• Use, maintain and build upon existing contact databases to expand our client base.
• Book and attend portfolio presentations to promote artists’ work.
• Invoice / reconcile projects and chase clients for payment as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with artists to help to achieve their creative goals.
• Generate new business through strategic research and outreach.
• Stay abreast of creative industry developments.
• Create curated PDFs to fit briefs.
• Gather and distribute new work from artists.
• Website and archive management, uploading and curating artist’s work.
Main Skills:
• Minimum 2-3 years industry experience at an artist management agency or in a creative production role.
• Passion for contemporary illustration and animation.
• Comfortable quoting a wide-range of projects with a knowledge of industry rates for production & usage.
• Ability to multi-task within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
• A natural ‘can do’ attitude and a supportive team player.
• Great organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Literate and numerate with strong administration skills.
• Additional language skills beneficial.
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite and Microsoft Office.
