3rd Rail Limited is a screen printing business with a young and friendly workforce and a relaxed but productive work environment, based in South London. We print garments and art editions for fashion labels and lifestyle brands from our studios in Bermondsey and Peckham. The below position is situated at our Bermondsey Studio.

More About the Job:

Starting salary is from at least £22,000 (which is dependent on experience) + bonuses, with potential to increase after a probation period and moving forwards based on performance.

There is the option to have flexible start and finish times if you prefer to get in early and leave early.

The ideal candidate will have a good command of the English language, good organisational skills, be friendly, proactive and approachable and have a working knowledge of screen printing or print in general as service.

We aim to build a good rapport with customers by being helpful and engaged and understanding and explaining the garment decoration process and other services.

The role involves communicating with customers throughout the day, mainly via email to help quote, attain and process orders. There are also some after sales tasks involved to ensure information is passed along to the production team and ensure orders are completed to deadlines. Once we receive orders you will be in charge of ordering and helping the stock controller monitor stock on a daily basis.

Key tasks.

  • Liaising with customers regarding their orders, quoting and answering follow up questions to provide support to the sales, mainly by email but also over the phone and in person from time to time.
  • After sales service including resolving any issues faced by customers.
  • Ordering garments on a daily basis and keeping up to date with garment deliveries in the dispatch department to ensure items have arrived in full and on time and solving shortages or missing items when they arise.
  • Answering phone calls throughout the day.
  • Taking on other tasks necessary from time to time

Skills required.

  • General knowledge of screen printing techniques.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Fantastic organisational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of photoshop.
  • Basic working knowledge of google sheets / Excel
  • Ability to multi-task.
