Job Description

Phantom are looking for a dynamic and passionate Senior UX designer who is willing to roll their sleeves up and deliver top quality user experience design in a fast paced environment. You need to be able to provide examples of relevant UX projects you have undertaken in the past and explain your role in them.

Who you are

You will create outcomes such as testing plans, wireframes, experience maps, empathy maps, user flows, user journeys, wireframes, design systems and presentations explaining your rationale to stakeholders. You will often be client-facing with the rest of the team. You should be an advocate of accessibility, best in class solutions, testing and research.

Your focus

Articulate clearly to clients and colleagues alike your reasoning and solutions to a given brief

Liaise with the wider team to create the best outcome from your initial thinking

Create UX artifacts such as wireframes, user journeys, experience maps, prototypes or any relevant output required by the brief

Have a strategic view of user experience for brands and businesses, thinking of longevity of products and services

Your abilities

  • Experienced – At least 4 years working as a UX designer and a portfolio reflecting your experience and abilities
  • Hands on – understand and identify user needs and be able to translate them into wireframes, user flows, task focussed scenarios and more
  • Analytical – you need to be able to weigh the pros and cons, take pragmatic decisions and be time-effective with your tasks
  • Good communication and presentation skills – you will need to present your findings back to the rest of the team stakeholders, explain your outputs and articulate your reasoning
  • Collaborative – you will be working closely with developers, copywriters, producers and other designers
  • Curious – happy to take on a new challenge and find out more about what makes people tick, we love proactive individuals that want to push boundaries and can think differently

Bonus points

  • Direct experience in conducting and managing user testing

How you’ll work

You will work closely with producers, creatives, strategists and developers to build cross device experiences with a human centric approach. You will report to your UX lead and you are expected to be able to work both collaboratively and independently.
