Job Description

ABOUT US

Formroom is a global leader of design, collaborating with world class brands in the hospitality, retail and commercial industries.

The work we create must be inspiring, memorable, and original.

For our clients, we want to be their trusted brand guardian across all touchpoints, specifically, within their brand identity and spaces.

As a team, we want to inspire and support each other to create incredible work and show passion whilst we’re doing it. We always have each other’s backs, no matter what.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our multi-disciplinary design team lie at the heart of our agency, they are the inspiration for our clients to be braver and drive wider design culture around the world; through delivering highly creative, ambitious and relevant work.

The job holder will be responsible for the design of client projects on a global level, across both retail and hospitality and at a range of scales. You will be confident in tackling projects from initial concept to completion, to include mood boards, sketching, 3D visualisation, sourcing and technical detail drawing.

Working in true partnership with the project management team, you will be responsible for taking the client’s brief and managing the execution of that brief, not only meeting but surpassing agency and client expectations whenever possible.

The job holder may be required to undertake solo projects or as part of a larger design team, including third-party specialist consultants, freelance and junior designers. You should be comfortable leading your own projects under the guidance of the Senior team whilst also being comfortable in a support role where required.

The job holder will also be responsible for liaising with the project management teams (and our manufacturing partners where appropriate) to ensure that the design is accurately interpreted and ensuring the brief is met successfully, that is to say, on time, on budget and to the required standard. It includes oversight over manufacturing solutions and appropriate material selection, with a focus on sustainability.

Experience within project management, brand strategy and brand communications would be highly advantageous but not essential.
