Social Media Manager
Job Description
We are a fast-growing food brand with pubs in southeast and central London under the Bang Bang Burger, Bang Bang Kitchen, Waffle On and several neighbourhood pub brands.
We also provide in-house kitchen services to multiple pubs in south east and central London. We also plan parties and events for clients of all sizes and operate a very busy summer operation on the Southbank.
We are looking for a social media manager to take on responsibility for content creation, planning, scheduling and reporting across all parts of the business.
This person will be responsible for our social media strategy, content creation and community engagement all with the aims of increasing footfall and engagement.

This part-time role is for 10 hours a week and will involve spending time in and travelling between various pub locations in south east and central London.

The Role
- Planning
Developing and implementing the overall social media content strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand’s guidelines and business objectives.
Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content and alignment with marketing initiatives and events.
Monitoring and analysing social media performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven changes to the output of our channels.
Managing targets and channel execution to growth and brand goals.
Manage the content marketing budget effectively, allocating resources for maximum impact and ROI.
- Content Creation
Managing the production and editing of high-quality and visually appealing social media content for both campaigns and everyday content for the various brands and pub locations in the business.
Ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all communication channels.
Creating engaging and impactful social media campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.
Briefing designers and creators to deliver truly inspiring, best-class content for all channels.
- Community
Nurture the brands’ online community
Managing community management, building and nurturing the brand across social channels, ensuring that all social mentions of the brand are reviewed and responded to appropriately
Monitor brand mentions, sentiment, and reputation across various channels, and develop strategies to address any issues or opportunities.
Identify and collaborate with influencers, partners, and industry stakeholders to amplify brand reach and engagement.
Managing the social content creation budget – this includes budget for influencers and content creators, as well as giveaways etc.
- Reporting
Monitor and analyse content performance metrics and SEO data to optimise content strategy and drive improvements in engagement and conversion rates.
Use this analysis to make data-driven changes to the output of our channels.
Provide a clear, precise and relevant monthly report to the company director including posts, key learnings and numbers (follower growth, posts published, reach, engagement, link clicks, video views, sessions, spend and month-over-month percentage increase or decrease).

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in branding and content marketing to continuously improve strategies and tactics.

Skills and Experience
- Skills
Essential
Charismatic and energetic with a passion for food
A high degree of personal and professional familiarity with all social platforms including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
A proven understanding of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices
Strong communication and project management skills
A strong understanding of social marketing strategies with relevant experience helping to define and build brands on social at scale
Significant experience in creating content - photography, videography and editing
Experience managing social media channels and websites
Experience working in data orientated organisations and able to confidently communicate customer and channel data
Good understanding of all fundamentals of content creation (storytelling, angles, lighting, transitions)
Confident behind and in front of the camera
Reactive to social media trends
Creative and keen to get involved in all aspects of the role
Flexible and resilient with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working understanding of video performance metrics
Expert level of English language
Excellent writing skills
Right to work in the UK
Willing to travel between locations in south east and central London
Desirable
Proficient with Adobe or similar tools to capture and edit video and image content
Familiar with MacOS and Apple iOS
Experience with Google Ads
Familiarity with other platforms including Snapchat, YouTube, X etc.

You have hands-on experience building campaigns on Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and TikTok
Significant experience in creating content – photography and videography
Experience managing social media channels
Experience tracking and reporting on the performance of everyday content and campaigns
Proven experience using social media marketing tools
Experience of tracking customer engagement and SEO to optimise content
Desirable
Experience updating websites including Wordpress and Squarespace
Establishing relationships/networks of industry professionals or influencers on social media
Exposure to other platforms like Google AdWords, YouTube, Snapchat and X
