Job Description

Peter Millard and Partners Ltd is a successful and established London art consultancy focusing on the luxury hospitality markets. We work with artists, interior designers, architects, galleries, fabricators, printers, and framers to create outstanding art collections. The ideal candidate will need strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks while working as part of a small team. They should possess excellent time management skills, a great work ethic, and have a genuine desire to succeed!

Main Responsibilities

Assist the Founder and the Creative Director in developing frame specifications for both handmade and factory frames for a broad range of artworks across various international projects.

Compile and manage a master list of frame specifications for each project.

Place bulk orders of frames of various specifications, ensuring all sizes are correct.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with framers and other suppliers.

Collaborate closely with art and projects departments to develop production timelines.

Condition report completed frames for all projects, which may involve some offsite work.

Manage budgets for production in collaboration with the art and projects teams.

Liaise with the Project and Logistics Coordinator to arrange artwork and framing transportation.

Art Production

Basic photo Retouching.

Test printing and signing off image files.

Proofing various types of artwork before production.

Image resizing and scaling.

Measuring artwork and calculating required frame sizes.

Purchase print materials.

Administration

Financial reporting, including managing monthly expenses.

General project document control and filing.

Raise and issue detailed purchase orders.

Coordinate procurement & financial tracking.

Liaise with vendors to obtain signed POs, terms and conditions, and invoices.

Liaise with accounts regarding invoicing and payments.

Person Specification

Demonstrates a high standard of numeracy and a degree of competency with large budgets.

A quick learner who can adapt to meet the requirements of the team and the projects.

Professional and personable approach to managing long-term supplier relationships.

Exceptionally detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to manage their own time effectively.

Has a good understanding of artists’ mediums, specifically digital printing processes, painting, and photographic artwork.

Confident in working independently to meet strict deadlines

Creative problem-solving abilities.

Essential Skills

Microsoft Office (Excel required to a minimum intermediate standard).

Mac fluent.

Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop is essential).

Google Workspace.

Microsoft Teams and online communication and file sharing.

Knowledge of artwork framing techniques and materials.

Experience with handling works on paper and paintings..

Experience working with framers and/or in a framing environment.

Driving license.

Desirable

Existing network of moulding suppliers, handmade framers and specialist suppliers for mounts, glass, large format scanning and printing.
