Job Description

The role:

GLOCK are on the hunt for a Mid-Weight Designer to join our fantastic team. Working across multiple brands you’ll primarily support the senior team to deliver great work but you will be presented with opportunities to step up and take full ownership of certain projects as well.

A proactive attitude and desire to learn are key attributes and working collaboratively with the whole team, regardless of the task at hand, will help you uphold the standards we set ourselves.

Communication is key and we are looking for you to take responsibility, keeping stakeholders informed on progress and highlighting any potential issues early so that appropriate solutions can be worked towards together.

The individual:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in a creative agency.
  • Proactive and positive attitude with a desire to learn.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong skills and proficiency in Adobe software. Knowledge of Sigma and other a bonus.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental design principles like balance, contrast, hierarchy, and alignment.
  • Understanding of basic print processes and production techniques.
  • Ability to contribute to brainstorming sessions and develop creative concepts.
  • Skills in turning ideas into effective visual designs.
  • Ability to work within existing brand guidelines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in design work.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to design challenges.
  • Skills in analysing design problems and generating appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts visually.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and client feedback.
  • Willingness to take on different types of design projects and learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Key support across multiple accounts.
  • Proactively supporting and collaborating with the team and their work.
  • Ensure that our standards are always upheld.
  • Understand individual brand positioning and BVIs.
  • Accountable to deliver all work assigned.
  • Take and challenge briefs, ensuring that you are always clear on objective, deliverables and timeframe.
  • Take on feedback with an open outlook and ensure it is actioned.
  • Ensure ideas and design solutions are crafted to their optimal state.
  • Stick to deadlines and manage PM expectations.
  • Cascade brand information and client needs to the rest of the team.
