Senior Client Manager
Job Description
The role
A UK-based Senior Client Manager with 5+ years experience in a creative agency. You’ve demonstrated an ability to grow accounts, build client relationships at all levels, and manage large, global projects. You thrive in front of clients and have strong presentation skills. It would be great if you have experience in the change and culture space, but this isn’t a deal breaker. This role isn’t for everyone; there’s no room for egos, no day is the same, and it will involve some travel for team and client meetings, but it’s the perfect role for an ambitious Senior Client Manager who wants to join a small agency and be instrumental in its growth.
You are…
- A client interpreter. You successfully manage, challenge, and interpret the client’s needs, working with our team to turn them into effective and creative solutions from the pitch stage to delivery.
- Confident and charismatic. You are comfortable taking the lead in client meetings, workshops and presentations.
- A relationship builder. You naturally develop strong relationships with clients, understand their business and challenges, and communicate what we can do to help them.
- An opportunity maker. You create client plans that align with their business strategy and challenges that create opportunities for us to expand our reach in their business.
- An excellent plate spinner. You love managing multiple projects at once and ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
- An open collaborator. You will work closely with our team and our little black book of external collaborators and partners, managing projects and output from start to finish.
- Energetic and curious. You show up with energy and passion, respectfully challenging yourself and others to find the best solutions. You care about and are curious about our industry trends and love to keep learning about people, culture, and change.
- Ready to get stuck in. You are keen to help out and be that extra set of hands, roll your sleeves up and support the team when needed.
Who are The Culture Club?
We’re a small, ambitious team with big plans for the future. We work with businesses worldwide to create meaningful changes that put people first. Our strengths lie in turning complex business problems into straightforward, effective solutions that boost performance while keeping the focus on a great people experience. Simply put, we transform organisations, one behaviour at a time.
What’s in it for you?
- Starting salary of £43–48k with an annual salary RevYou. We believe in the concept of ‘know your worth’ and have yearly conversations where you have the opportunity to tell us how much you’re worth and why.
- Flexible working. We work 5 days a week, but we work with flex to suit your lifestyle and energy. Communication is vital for this to work, so long as we are there for clients and each other when needed, the rest is up to you. Whether you go running at lunch or just like to have a nap, early finishes, late starts, we are flexible around what you need to do and when.
- Remote first working and home office set up. You will receive a company Apple laptop and optional work iPhone, as well as a desktop display screen and accessories to set up your home office. We are based all over the UK, so being comfortable in your work environment at home is essential to us. We also have an office in Bristol and regularly use co-working spaces if we are based elsewhere.
- Monthly team get-togethers. Working remotely means we are always looking to create moments to connect as a team in person. Every month, we get together to discuss the business and our personal experiences. Typically, these are in London, Bristol, Manchester, or Birmingham, but they are occasionally slightly more adventurous.
- Opportunities for continued learning and development. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, but we will work with you to find opportunities and create ways to learn on the job and through external courses and events. We don’t have an explicit budget or process right now, but as we are growing the team, we are currently shaping what this will look like so it is clear, fair and accessible for everyone.
- Unlimited holiday. Yes, we’ve seen all the chatter around this perk. But this isn’t a way of allowing anyone to take less holiday. We hold each other accountable for rest and recovery, with everyone expected to take at least 20 days plus bank holidays and a Christmas shut down. Every day on top of that is up to you. We trust each other to manage our responsibilities and work in a way that allows us to live our lives and keep our energy in the green.
- Private healthcare with Vitality. After three months, you will get access to health checks and lots more, such as Video GP appointments and mental health support. You can easily add family members to your plan for even more peace of mind (Fees apply). You can also enjoy rewards, such as a free coffee every week, money off gym memberships, discounts on health tracker devices and gear, a free subscription to Headspace, and vouchers and cashback on food shopping.
- Enhanced maternity pay. After being employed for 12 months, your’re entitled to enhanced maternity pay: 12 weeks @ 100% pay, 12 weeks @ 50% pay and 15 weeks @ Statutory Maternity Pay.
- Company credit card. We don’t have any complicated expenses process or sign-offs. We’re all adults; just keep those receipts!
Plus, all the usual legal stuff, such as a company pension.
What to expect from this process
- Feedback: We receive many applicants for each role, which is much appreciated, but unfortunately, it is challenging to provide feedback to every applicant. You will always receive an email response to show that we have received your application. Of course, you will get written and/or verbal constructive feedback if you make it to the interview stage but are not selected for the role, which will help you learn from the experience. We also welcome your feedback on our process.
- Transparent process: We will clearly communicate the next steps and timelines so candidates know what to expect.
- Advance questions: Shared interview questions a day ahead to help candidates prepare and present their best selves, especially helpful for those who are neurodivergent.
- Team interaction: Candidates spend time with team members they’d be working with, giving them a real feel for the role and culture.
- Six month settling in period: The first six months are all about settling in and getting to know each other. During this time you’ll have a clear onboarding plan outlining what to expect and setting expectations and have regular time with the team to get to know your role, our clients and TCC. At the end of your settling in period you’ll have a review to reflect on your first 6 months and sign off that you’re officially ‘settled in’.
- Our commitment to diversity: We are committed to the work of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our own business and for the leaders and clients we partner with. We continually work to become a more diverse and inclusive business ourselves. We are committed to working with and designing for people of every race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, physical ability or attribute, religion, national origin, or political belief. We recognise this commitment requires continual learning, reflection, and imagination.
