Job Description

We’re looking for a warm, communicative project manager who can proactively manage client projects from start to finish. We work hard to retain clients for years and over multiple projects; you will be a key component in the continuation of this, resourcing, planning and executing projects to an exceptional level of delivery. You will steer all projects initially with the existing project management protocols and templates, but look to improve and build on this suite, automating processes where possible and building in more time for direct client contact. You are a web native with a software-agnostic fluency in project and task management, able to juggle multiple projects and dependencies whilst remaining calm and in control in the face of unexpected changes.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for production, implementing existing tools and systems as well as improving and migrating as and when required
  • Use and build on a suite of project management tools and templates
  • Work with studio founder and director to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Lead on client liaison from pitching, to contracting and onboarding, through to delivery and then support
  • Managing all client relationships on a day to day basis
  • New business: contributing to proposals for current clients and new projects
  • Manage resourcing and dependencies across projects and studio including leading on weekly status updates with design and development leads
  • Some minimal studio management such as staff contracts, payroll, holidays and sick days, office supplies ordering, meeting scheduling.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • 2–4 years studio experience in a similar role or a more junior role in a larger studio
  • Track record of managing £80-£300k complex web design and build projects
  • A proactive communication-focused approach to client liaison
  • Responsible confidence-inspiring comportment with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrable diplomacy and negotiation skills
  • A warm and nurturing approach top client management
  • Excellent delegation skills, while you are responsible for a lot, task management and assignment ensures others are contributing to this workload
  • An efficient technology-first approach to work, always looking out for when things can be streamlined or automated
