Senior Designer
Job Description
We’re looking to hire a senior designer to join our team of designers, writers, strategists and project managers.
About you
You must be empathetic, a collaborative team player, and an excellent communicator. You’ll also need to be conscientious and adaptable. There’s a good reason for everything we do and for every decision we take, so you’ll need to be someone who demonstrates this same degree of care — both in your work and your interactions with others.
What we’re looking for
You can create beautifully considered design underpinned by intelligent, strategic thinking.
You care for your craft, have a keen eye for detail, and strive for creative excellence in everything you do.
You’re open to new ideas, curious, and interested in the ever-moving world of brand expression and creative tools, like AI generative art.
You share our passion for our client portfolio across the tech and purpose sectors.
You’re either already a senior or mid-weight designer and you’re ready to take your next step.
You enjoy working as part of a team, sharing your ideas and listening to others.
You’ve worked with other designers, copywriters and strategists before.
You’re excited to work with large B2B tech clients. And, if you don’t have experience working with them already, you want some.
The skills we’re looking for
Excellence in graphic design: You’ll be fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Illustration skills are a bonus.
Understanding of motion design: Even if you don’t think of yourself as a “motion designer”, you’ll have a strong understanding of motion design approaches and behaviours. Technical knowledge of packages like Adobe After Effects and 3D software is a bonus.
Digital design: You’ll have experience using Figma for UX and UI work and Google Slides to create strong presentations.
Your responsibilities will include
Planning and prep: Working across multiple projects simultaneously, you can shape and coordinate activities on project work, including those involving other colleagues (like junior designers).
Communication and presentation: You’re comfortable presenting work in a compelling way formally and informally to colleagues and clients. You communicate clearly, empathetically and often with your team mates so they’re aware of your progress and you’re aware of theirs.
Feeding back: You can participate in and sometimes lead constructive feedback or critique sessions with clients. You’re always open to feedback on your work from your colleagues, and you know that handling client feedback is an essential part of your job.
Problem-solving: You’re quick to spot problems, use your experience to pre-empt challenge areas, and work collaboratively with your teammates to find a solution.
Benefits
Flexi-hours: We offer some flexi-time around our core working hours to allow for occasional personal commitments.
Hybrid working: We're a hybrid team, so we work remotely and from our studio in Farringdon, central London. We don't have set days to come in, but you will be expected to attend in-person working sessions, regular days in the office, and our monthly whole team days.
Career development: We have a framework for career development and an annual training budget of £1,000 to further your skill set and knowledge.
Holidays: Everyone gets 28 days’ holiday per year (in addition to public holidays).
Private healthcare: We offer comprehensive, fully-subsidised private health insurance from Vitality.
Well-being support: We offer a budget that our team can spend on their wellbeing and on mental and physical health services through our partner, Juno.
Family-friendly: We offer enhanced parental leave packages.
