This role entails…
The Features Editor will play a key role in creating and commissioning inspiring, optimistic and useful content across the Woo networks. The role sits within the Editorial team, reporting to the Head of Editorial.
This person needs to be confident working independently on long and short-form feature content as well as working with a strong network of freelance writers on articles and special projects. You will:
- Pitch story ideas, and writers for them - write, assign and work with writers to edit short and long-form features
- Oversee the scheduling of all articles
- Oversee special projects
- Working with the editorial assistant to overseeing and updating the cultural calendar
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by Head of Editorial
- To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
- Minimum role criteria:
- Ability to generate brilliant ideas frequently
- Ability to submit clean copy
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Track record of writing and commissioning original and agenda-setting features.

- Experience as an editor, including feature editing.
- A strong list of writer and PR contacts and a commitment to refreshing and updating this list endlessly
- A finger on the pulse when it come to recognising new talent across culture and wellness
