Midweight Designer
Job Description
Spirit of the Role
As a Midweight Designer, you will be at the heart of the design output for our projects. By creating work that drives projects forward, you will respond to design briefs with high-quality creative solutions, considering the longevity of the work and its potential to expand into unexplored areas.
You will bring ideas, energy, and strong design skills to tasks at any stage of a project, from immersion and strategy to creative expression.
Collaborating effectively with designers and strategists, you will also help guide other team members. You will engage positively with clients and suppliers, take responsibility for meeting deadlines, and ensure consistently high standards of work.
Your Responsibilities
- Generating ideas and creating compelling, innovative work with strong conceptual foundations. Designing from concept to completion across any brand touchpoint and supporting all design-related tasks within projects.
- Actively leading a project alongside the Creative Director, challenging briefs from clients and team members.
- Taking an active interest in the clients we work with, including the direction of their business and brand.
- Initiating and fostering personal relationships with clients to build strong, nurturing connections.
- Take the initiative to check in with the rest of the design team on an individual basis to share ideas, inspire creativity, and ensure the general well-being of your colleagues.
- Communicating with clients to explain why certain design choices were made when challenged, and being ready to discuss feedback while outlining the parameters considered during the design process.
- Adopting a proactive approach in client meetings on design matters and working with the strategist to manage weekly sessions independently, without requiring support from management.
Key skills and qualifications

- High-quality portfolio: A portfolio showcasing concept-driven design and excellent execution, with versatility, experimentation, and energy. It should include examples of print and digital projects completed from start to finish.
- People skills: Confident in team collaboration and comfortable participating in interviews, workshops, and client interactions. Skilled in producing and delivering presentations both internally and externally.
- Flexibility: Adaptable and confident working across diverse industries, with a variety of people, and in any setting—from start-ups to large corporations.
