MID WEIGHT CREATIVE / GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Job Description
We're on the lookout for a creative who's got a soft spot for FMCG brands and a hard driving creative flair. Imagine yourself as the creative powerhouse, working in tandem with a dynamic marketing team to propel the UK's fastest-growing and most acclaimed baby food brand to new heights.
At Piccolo, we're not just another baby food brand – we're the rebels of the puree world, breaking free from the blandness of yesteryear. Say goodbye to those old-school brands that tasted like mushy nostalgia. We're on a mission to be the cool kids on the parenting block, keeping it real and ditching the sugar-coated nonsense.
In this role, we're not just looking for a designer, we want someone ready to step into the spotlight and imprint their unique touch on a brand that's truly bringing a new voice to the baby category. Someone who can seamlessly transition from brainstorming wildly inventive ideas to refining the nitty-gritty details of design execution. This isn't your typical in-house design role, it's an opportunity to be part of a challenger brand taking on industry giants in a fast paced environment.
YOU:
• Ready to jump headfirst into shaping a brand that's making waves.
• An enthusiastic creative who draws inspiration from disruptive brands beyond the baby world.
• Able to navigate both the day-to-day projects and creatively demanding campaigns, with a constant desire to elevate the brand.
• A flexible attitude with the ability to pivot during projects
• A visionary with an intelligent approach to concept generation.
• An effective communicator and decision-maker comfortable in the driver's seat of creativity
• Capable of managing multiple projects and external creatives efficiently to ensure the brand shines holistically.
AREAS OF RESPOBSIBILITY:
• Packaging EPD & NPD – Pack design for both existing and new product launches. Looking into consumer insights and auditing competitor brands to unravel creative solutions. Designing pack artwork for optimum on-shelf stand out and consumer resonance.
• Social content – Being aware of social media trends and working with our social media exec to inject the correct tone and creative direction to help bring ideas to life.
• Campaign ideation – bringing ideas to group brainstorming sessions that help push boundaries and position the brand as a challenger player
• Campaign activation – bringing campaigns to life through visuals, content and merchandise across all platforms
• Shopper marketing – creating artwork for print and digital adverts and in-store POS.
• Newsletters – designing engaging monthly newsletter series
• Managing external resources – briefing and liaising with freelancers to ensure we are delivering high quality creative that is on-brand and on-time
• Challenger thinking – constantly finding ways to push the boat out across all platforms, while being aligned with brand values, marketing strategies and business goals.

• At least 2-3 years of industry experience
