What we're looking for:
How&How are seeking a full-time Senior Digital Designer to join our growing global family. You will have raw talent, curiosity and a strong creative instinct — and help us deliver work for our clients which is bold, conceptual and different. You will be a team player who will be generous with ideas, and have strong beliefs — loosely held.
You will be the driving force behind digital output, and work in our digital design team to develop the creative vision of a project. The majority of the creative heavy lifting takes place by you, and it's essential you’re not afraid to get stuck in on all levels of work. Egos get left at the door.
Topline: we need a well-rounded, team-player to push our digital design projects forward. You’ll have strong problem-solving skills; knowledge of UX processes and methodologies and great interpersonal skills too.
What we’re after:
- 6+ years hands-on experience as a UI / UX Designer
- 100% credible in our core discipline of digital design
- Notable experience designing complex user interfaces for web and/or mobile applications
- Thorough understanding of user-centred design, responsive design, mobile first design, and web standards
- Deep understanding of industry standard tools (in particular Figma)
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of UX processes and methodologies
- Efficient, detail-oriented, organised, and able to work under tight deadlines
- Strong multi-tasking skills; able to prioritise own work (and ask questions when it's ambiguous)
- Strong creative instincts and willingness to push further through experimentation
- Advanced understanding of how to apply the methodologies of interaction design and research to business problems
— Additional tools are a big plus: motion, code, illustration, etc
— Curious about brands and the positive impact they can have on the world
— Interested in more than just design
— Ambitious self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity
— Comfortable engaging with the strategic dimension of our work
— Able to get under the skin of clients issues, strong on content as well as visuals
— Able to build personal relationships and trust with clients
— Articulate, confident and assertive in presenting work
— Strong creative instincts and willingness to push further through experimentation
Responsibilities:
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity comps to communicate design ideas that illustrate user interaction
- Design the interface and experience based on requirements from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Presenting designs and design systems to clients
- Work jointly with other UI designers to provide input and help solve complex interaction problems
- Work closely with product managers to translate low fidelity wireframes, hand sketches, and/or rough requirements of an idea into well designed user interfaces and experiences
- Collaborate and communicate with developers to ensure execution and consistency of the experience
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and bring fresh ideas to the table
- Ensuring consistency in designs and content across all company platforms
- Transforming wireframes into intuitive user interfaces
- Develop digital storyboards and animation as needed
What we offer
- Salary of £55,000 (London) / €55,000 (Lisbon)
- 9 Day Fortnight with every other Friday off
- 28 Day additional Holiday allocation (including Bank Holidays)
- €1,000/year Skills & Training Allowance
- €1,000/year Work Together Allowance (trips between London and Lisbon)
- Macbook Pro setup provided
- Pro Bono Environmental Studio Projects
- Transparent Tiered Salary System
- Quarterly Review with Bonus Opportunities
- Hybrid 50 / 50 working setup
- 2 x 2 Week Remote Working Opportunities (timezone dependent)
- Second Home Member access to the cultural programme of talks and social events.
- Member access to all Second Home workspaces in both London / Lisbon and Hollywood
- We’re currently working towards B-Corp Status and hope to complete in late 2022 / early 2023
