About Happy Yolk

At Happy Yolk, we specialise in bold ideas, big impact and making brands unforgettable.

It all started with an egg (yes, really)—a simple idea that became the world’s most-liked Instagram post, dethroned Kylie Jenner, hit global prime-time TV and even starred in a Super Bowl ad.

That viral success laid the foundation for our proprietary social media model, combining audience insights, creative, bespoke tactics and influencer relationships to deliver results that truly matter to our clients.

Today, we’re a boutique agency with a tight-knit team of eight, collaborating with leading brands like Samsung, TalkTalk, Pooky and Too Good To Go, as well as meaningful causes like Choose Love, Ealing Soup Kitchen and the British Hen Welfare Trust.

As we launch a new website and brand identity, we’re entering an exciting growth phase. Even with minimal self-promotion, our work has already captured the attention of top industry players. Now, we’re ready to go further—and that’s where you come in.

The Role

We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Social Video & Content Lead to join our growing team at Happy Yolk. You’ll take the lead in crafting standout social media content for our clients. You’ll be responsible for producing engaging videos and stills across key platforms like Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, ensuring everything is optimised, on-brand and tailored to each audience.

We need someone who knows social video inside out, stays ahead of platform developments and ideally has motion graphics skills. Social is no place for dull content, so we’re seeking a bold, creative thinker with a proven track record in:

  • Video editing
  • Social content management
  • Copywriting
  • Leveraging social media best practices

This is more than a content creation role though—it’s a chance to shape the future of Happy Yolk as we step into an exciting growth phase.

What You’ll Do

  • Video and Still Content Creation: Lead the production of engaging video and still content for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, from ideation and scripting to shooting and editing.
  • Content Planning: Collaborate with social media managers to develop monthly plans, creating moodboards, scripts and storyboards with a focus on video-first strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members, manage workloads and offer guidance on video production techniques and best practices.
  • Asset Management: Organise and maintain all video assets, including footage logs, hard drives and camera equipment, to ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all content meets client brand guidelines and suits the tone of each platform.
  • Technical Execution: Use tools such as CapCut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to produce polished videos. Motion graphics expertise is a significant plus.
  • Client Collaboration: Confidently present ideas and content to clients, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with their objectives.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: At least 3–4 years of social media experience, with a proven ability to produce high-quality video content independently from concept to execution.
  • Technically Skilled: Proficient in video editing software like CapCut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with motion graphics expertise being a major advantage.
  • Creative & Strategic: A creative thinker with excellent storytelling skills who can craft content that aligns with client goals and drives engagement.
  • Platform Knowledgeable: Well-versed in the latest social media developments and best practices for driving performance on key platforms.
  • Organised & Agile: Able to manage production schedules and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Collaborative Leader: Enjoys mentoring and working closely with team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Client-Focused: Confident in presenting ideas, building relationships and delivering on client expectations.
  • UK-Based: Located in the UK with access to London for in-person shoots and events.

Benefits

  • £40,000–£50,000 salary, based on experience.
  • 25 days annual leave plus your birthday off, with half-day Fridays in summer.
  • Hybrid working: typically remote on Mondays and Fridays, in the Shoreditch office Tuesday–Thursday.
  • Flexible working hours: structure your day as it suits you, provided expectations are met.
  • A fun, energised and collaborative start-up culture.
  • Opportunities to lead exciting projects, grow your skills and shape your career within a boutique agency.
  • Work with some of the most exciting brands and meaningful causes in the industry.
  • Contribute to a wellbeing-focused culture where personal growth and team success go hand in hand.
