Job Description

Senior Marketing manager role, responsible for brand and campaigns. Working closely with Creative and Product, to create and implement marketing campaigns across both digital and physical stores. Focus on increasing brand awareness and playing an important part in rediscovering our brand tone of voice. Coming up with, and pitching, outside the box campaign ideas to key stakeholders. Working collaboratively with the marketing manager (responsible for data analysis and traditional e-commerce marketing) and our social media exec. Reporting into our Creative director, and managing 2 more junior members of the team.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Creative and the marketing team in the implementation of the marketing strategy

Own the national retail calendar, campaigns, key trading dates and store initiatives

Work with the creative and product teams to deliver multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns, ensure campaigns are optimised and driving ROI through all digital channels including the website, emails, and from all paid media, organic social media, POS, etc

Report on effectiveness of brand and campaign marketing activity

Increase brand awareness through PR activities including brand activations, news hijacking opportunities, local and regional media competitions, maximising the opportunity of influencers for campaigns and to support initiatives

Support the launch of new initiatives including new products and promotions

Support the implementation and adoption of updated brand communications and creative

Support the continuous improvement of the brand interiors in stores through new store openings and refurbs

Manage the development and creation of marketing assets, including writing or contributing to copy for different audiences and channels, collateral creations, POS, video, digital images, social media content

Identify and champion opportunities to enhance customer experience along the customer journey

Production of creative briefs for the design department, in line with the critical date path.

Support and mentor more junior members of the creative marketing team

The successful candidate for this role will have the following:

Strong understanding and experience of marketing strategy and tactics

Creative flair and commercial acumen

Previous experience in a similar role in a fast paced, commercially focused multi-site business

Previous experience in working to and playing a part in the direction of brand guidelines

Passion for championing the customer and using insights to drive customer experience improvements

Good knowledge and experience of working with the full marketing mix, digital advertising channels and techniques

Project management skills – ability to juggle several different projects at once and prioritise accordingly

Initiative and forward thinking

Experience of monitoring and measuring, e.g. through brand tracking and campaign performance measurement

Experience creating campaign ideas, and experience pitching campaigns to internal stakeholders

Experience managing at least 1-2 junior members of a team

Experience in marketing for either a retail, FMCG, or cosmetic brands - desirable.
