Root is an independent creative studio working with clients worldwide covering branding, brand strategy, print, editorial, digital, film, social content creation and exhibition design. Original ideas are always at the heart of our thinking as we continually strive to create work that is memorable, crafted and intelligent.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a multi-disciplined designer who can contribute to producing outstanding creative work. You’ll be an amazing designer - whose work centres around ideas, developing design solutions from conception through to implementation.
You’ll be up for solving creative challenges, love working independently as well as with the team, and enjoy working on a wide range of projects.
You’ll come with an amazing body of work, a hands-on approach and can-do attitude and excellent communication skills (both spoken and written). You’ll have a great eye for detail and finish and are confident in working across all parts of a project, whether it be print, digital or branding (bonus points for experience in motion/moving image)
Knowledge in chemistry and geography is not essential but would seriously help our pub quiz game.

Sociable and confident
Able to take constructive criticism and creative direction (no big egos please!)
Aware of the latest trends and modern culture
Comfortable presenting your ideas to the rest of the design team and Creative Director
You’ll have…
A VERY strong understanding and eye for typography, layout and imagery
A proficient understanding of the Microsoft and Adobe Creative suites (Word, Powerpoint, Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator - After Effects and Premiere Pro are a plus!)
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Great attention to detail and communication skills (verbal, written and visual)
A portfolio with a beautiful aesthetic and a mindful, intelligent approach to visual problem-solving
A desire to be part of a dynamic and growing team
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
