Design Director
Job Description
Role Overview:
We are a London-based design agency currently looking for a talented Design Director to join our multi-disciplined team.
We are looking for someone with a proven ability to create exceptional ideas-based work, confident in taking the lead on projects – from briefing through to final delivery.
You'll be very pro-active, acting as the beating heart of the projects you work on and keeping an eye on every moving part alongside the account director. You'll also need to be confident in being accross several projects in one week, with excellent time management and leadership skills.
Our clients range from start-ups to established global brands across a broad range of categories, and our work varies across design, digital and advertising. Experience working closely with clients, strong communication and presenting skills are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing creative work with strong conceptual and strategic thinking across both print and digital briefs, in a broad range of client categories.
- Rationalising ideas in clear and engaging ways, representing the design team by telling the story of brilliant work to clients in a confident manner.
- Maintaining an outstanding level of design craft with high standards of attention to detail.
- Leading on creative deliverables of projects from briefing through to delivery, and overseeing work by other members of the design team.
- Leading on art direction for both still and motion content, from briefing to storyboarding to PPMs to on-the-shoot-day direction, and post-production management.
- Working alongside agency partners, the broader design team, strategists, creatives, copywriters, account manager, web developers and performance marketing team.
- Working directly with client teams and building positive client relationships.

- Highly creative with a good eye for detail.
- Great experience and confidence working across print and digital.
- Excellent at talking through and presenting work in engaging and inspiring ways.
- Ability to balance projects and timelines.
- Delivery of feedback and direction to more junior members of the team whilst being a great role model.
- A keen interest in the world beyond design.
- Collaboration – working with multiple teams and partners.
